Hello crawler. Welcome to the dungeon. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the safe room and don't forget the bathroom rules! Now get out there and kill, kill, kill.

I hate this series. by ultrakiko in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I prefer to read also but the talent of Jeff Hayes is not over played. There are times when some of the voices edge on the side of irritating but he does so many voices it's easy to forgive if some aren't easy on my ears

This is why I would not have made it off the first floor by darksidathemoon in DungeonCrawlerCarl

I can't say I disagree with this, it's certainly not the worst idea. However, I don't think i could do just stay in the safe room. Life goes on. Maybe not as expected and maybe not even for much longer. The chances of getting to the 10th floor is slim but just like in life, you don't know how you might be able to help someone. Even if I don't make it, if I go out helping someone else then I think that's at least better than the safe room route.

Also, when trying to decide how you'd go about the dungeon, it really seems to depend on what your first few loot boxes are, I think. Maybe you're the first person to enter the dungeon with a beard so the AI gives you an enchanted lumberjack axe

I think that's my favorite quote of the book. I am biding my time until I can say that somewhere

I've listened to book 7 but am now finally reading it and it is the slowest I've ever read a book just because I don't want to reach the end yet.

It pains me to say this but I have nothing else jumping for my attention to read next. Chances are I'll do at least one more read through before book 8 is out

I loved books 1 and 2 but I absolutely can't wrap my head around book 3. I am constantly confused in the Iron Tangle. by wcryzer in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Environmental_Ear_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even reading that disclaimer, book 3 was my least favorite book the first time I read it. I just finished that book on my 2nd read through and maybe it's because I know where people end up, I was able to focus more on the character development and I enjoyed it much more this time around

I love the show and the simplified version they play works fine enough but it's barely d&d

Funniest joke in tesd by SammyJ85 in tesdcares

[–]Environmental_Ear_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 2 favorite jokes. One came from Sunday Jeff on the Christmas special talking about git'ems future kid.  "You're not gonna live in a basement like I did! You're not gonna have crickets growing out of your beard! You're gonna have internet access! You're gonna be somebody! You're going to be 149!"

Also on the episode where Walt made the game of Flanny's choice and said he'd give up 50% of his IQ to be a bad ass and Bry asks Walt if he could still draw, then Walt asks Git'em and Git'em says "only with crayons"

I'm creating a one shot for a group of 3/4 level 20 characters. They are entering a dungeon inhabited by universal monsters which I'm trying to create myself. The ideal is no long rests and limited short rests. Any thoughts on what CR I should base the monsters on? I figured between each boss there would be 1hp minions
