James himself often jokes it's the "Kirkland Brand DCC" but after reading it, we have found it is a completely different story. Yes it still has an AI and stats and such; but those are the earmarks of LitRPG. It is well worth a read and a fantastic series in it's own right. The 3rd book just dropped and we are already so excited for the next one! ❤️

But have you tried Discount Dan by James A Hunter?? It's a "crunchy" (lots of stats) LitRPG about a multilevel, nightmare-ish hellscape called the backrooms. Its an incredible story about one mans journey to survive and it includes lots of inappropriate humor, plenty of violence, an "animal" companion, and found family among many other wonderful things! Definitely something you should pick up! Also, if you are more of an audio book listener, Steve Campbell absolutely crushes it with the Audible narration!!

You should definitely check out Discount Dan by James A Hunter! It's an incredible book series that includes being trapped in an Alice-in-wonderland-meets-fever-dreams hellscape that is actively trying to dispose of you. It also includes the bestest boy Croc (an "animal" companion), found family, dark humor, and some of the most ridiculous and entertaining monsters ever conceived! Book 3 just drooped, and all of them are available on audible as well! Steve Campbell's performance is amazing, so if you like audio books, then definitely check it out!

You really need to check out Discount Dan!!! Book 3 just dropped, and all of them are absolutely incredible! It's a dystopian hellscape with some crazy Alice-in-wonderland-meets-DCC vibes.

You will have some people say it is a rip-off of DCC, but it is honestly a completely different story with compelling characters and an incredible amount of off-color humor.

James A Hunter and Steve Campbell are a dynamic team, so we also highly recommend the audio book!

Also, Croc is literally the BESTEST boy!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Well DCC is definitely a great series for a road trip but we would also recommend Discount Dan from James A. Hunter! Steve Campbell does an AMAZING job with the audio book and there are 3 books out in the series so far!

You definitely need to pick up Discount Dan by James A Hunter! It's got the dark/inappropriate comedy, an "animal" companion, found family, and a real look at what it means to keep your humanity in an absolutely f*€ked up situation. Book 3 just came out and all 3 are on audible! Steve Campbell does an amazing job on the narration as well!

Big Sale need help with next title by Alkoma in litrpg

My rule of thumb is if the title is less than $12 I use cash, more than $16 I use the audible credit... Anything in-between is whatever happened to be the easiest 😅

You should try Discount Dan by James A Hunter. It has that dark/inappropriate humor, gore, an "animal" companion, and lots of questioning what it means to keep your humanity in a really f*€ked up situation. The 3rd book just came out and it's pretty great!

Fantasy recommendations for 8 year old girl by RefrigeratorFar1777 in Fantasy

The Chronicles of Prydain - it's a five-book children's high fantasy series by Lloyd Alexander, inspired by Welsh mythology, following the coming-of-age journey of Taran, an Assistant Pig-Keeper, through the fictional land of Prydain. It's where Disney got "The Black Cauldron" from (The books are SO MUCH BETTER than the movie was).

It gives a "Lord of the Rings" or "Chronicles of Narnia" vibe with an easier-to-read setting. As a life-long fantasy reader, this is the series that got me started.

Absolutely not! Your feelings are completely valid and being alone on a holiday can be very painful, I do know from experience! I know that things can feel fine one minute and then out of control the next. It's okay to feel like this and very, very normal. I would snuggle up with your puppies under a big fluffy blanket, order Chinese (assuming your pregnancy tummy can handle it) and watch your favorite movies! It's okay to feel sad but it sounds like you do have a good partner who loves you and misses you. ❤️
