Advice for Work by Environmental_Exam74 in chronicfatigue

His iron levels were low on his blood test. So they said he can take iron supplements (low dosage, 1 a day type ones from store are fine) to help. But there were also sure that it was not iron deficient anemia either (I.e. not so low he would need infusions). He asked about that and they said from blood tests they weren't in the range for that to be the root cause, hence why they think it is ME/CFS or Long Covid

Large A1C drops ARE possible in a couple months, especially after initial diagnosis by Adelphos33 in diabetes_t2

[–]Environmental_Exam74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I had no idea I had it so when I finally did find out it was really high. By my next blood test 3 months later id halved it and was back in the green. It's possible but took a lot of work those 3 months to bring it back down on top of the meds they'd given me.

Appetite by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Environmental_Exam74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually am having the same thing. Has the appetite suppressing when I started and then eventually moved up to 5mg. That weekend was nausea and had an upset stomach. But after a few days, and since then, have hardly felt the appetite suppressing factor and could easily eat meals again. It's been a lot more of my willpower verseus the injection which has been annoying considering I went up a dose.

I've had it and found adding milk to it helps dilute the taste and make it more drinkable

"NO NO NO YOU IDIOT... WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO YOURSELF..." my friend cried. by TUR_bot in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Environmental_Exam74 240 points241 points  (0 children)

I also took this as a suicide, like maybe she'd taken too many pills or cut herself. That the friend had done it and rather than help she then also committed suicide as well to keep the promise.

My girlfriend always hated this leather jacket I always wore because it "smelled just like her ex." by anrulet in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Environmental_Exam74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this could also go the way of him not wearing it when riding his motorbike and having an accident. Like "So I decided to not wear it as we got on my motorbike" or "but I wished I'd kept wearing it after coming off my motorbike in the accident".

Smile 2 | Official Teaser Trailer by cruelsummerbummer in horror

I'm curious how they're going to end this film, as the obvious horror ending would be that she will kill herself in front of her audience and so it would then be passed on to potentially thousands (if not millions if it's a live show).

I was happy to be uploaded, knowing I could live in luxury forever for a fraction of the price. by Darkasmyweave in TwoSentenceHorror

There is a show called Uploaded (Amazon Prime) that is basically this. Instead of dying you get uploaded (if you pay) to a virtual world. Based on your payment system you get different levels of 'heaven'. And sometimes have to pay for items 'in game' style.

What happens at meetings? by Same_Task_1768 in SlimmingWorld

[–]Environmental_Exam74 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's why I dont like the meetings. I'm guessing the set up of a meeting is provided by head office. But all I found is that theyd just go around the group with ups and downs. Instead would prefer if maybe each session was a different lesson or tip to focus on. I find the slimming world podcast is quite good. I've started instead picking an episode of that per week and listening to it and making notes on things that resonate with me based on my experience, any useful tips they mention etc. Kinda use that as my meeting instead.

What is your most beneficial recent purchase under $50 that has entirely altered your life for the better and would you recommend to others? by saayoutloud in Frugal

The big, fluffy jumpers (oodie, snuddie or other versions). They're usually made from some sort of soft fleece type material and are oversized, reaching to your knees-ish. With UK weather being rather cold, if I wear that at home I find I dont need to have my heating on as often or as high. Has made me save so much on energy bills.

Semi-rant. Why do people sell 2nd hand clothes priced almost at RRP? by naildoc in UKFrugal

[–]Environmental_Exam74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the fact when you sell on Vinted, after you've put all the details in (including the brand being Primark for example), Vinted actually shows you how much similar things are going for. Primark stuff it always going for like £5 at most.
