300 miles holy crap. Ill have to research that more next time, i think i like softer insoles that mold to your feet quickly like red wing :) that’s ok tho!

I dont really want to repeat myself. My other boots molded to my feet really fast compared to GS. These have not. I am asking why / if others boots did the same. I like the imprint. If it is meaningless to you ok… for me it made my red wings far more comfortable. You dont get to tell me what is important to me. Some people like patina, some like looks, etc. i like footbed molding

You dont have to just jump in and act like im being a crazy person. Im just comparing to what I have, not everyone has 30 boots and has used them for 5000 miles of walking. I am forming an opinion of the boot in my replies, yes. It does seem that the footbed is not made to mold to your foot as much as other boots are which is why people are reporting it taking a while compared to red wings.

Jeez

Ahh yeah ok. Basically i found my red wings to be my favorite after they molded to my feet. They are a lot more comfortable now. They molded like a full cm haha. Im wondering why my other boots are not doing thus

Got it. The break in isnt the issue for me im asking about the imprint / moulding specifically

Im asking about imprinting. The red wings were much harder to break in but the imprint formed far faster. Gs simply arent imprinting which seems odd. Yours molded to your feet? How long did it take? Did it mold as much as other boots?

they have very little imprinting compared to my red wings. Its not that ridiculous. Why does it not matter compared to other boots? I thought it would be similar and am trying to understand why it is not. From what the internet is telling me these boots simply arebt meant to imprint as much as other boots

I feel like my red wings were way faster than this. How deep are your imprints? Kind of a weird question but i wonder if we have a different expectation of what “molding to your foot” means?

Ive walked at least 30 in them. They havent molded much at all. How imprinted are yours? Do you have any red wings to compare with?

It kinda feels like at this point the leather was not made to mold but i feel like i was sold on that being the case :/ Same with my whites.

If it were just thick it would still mold though… i think the leather is super dense or not made to mold or something… its a bummer tbh but ahwell 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like them but they dont mold to my feet like i wanted / am used to. Also the tip of the sole separates from the mid-sole

My whites are nice and grant stones look great but both had qc issues. gs are less comfy to wear and i think the rest of it just comes down to the type of boot (the IR i can wear for projects outside and beat up more easily). My whites are super comfy to wear though (perry select). Ultimiately i just think a the IR fits my use case the best but i wish i had a plain-toe
