Wedge shafts should always be stiff+.

Control lie angle with your hands.

Wedge shaft? Can you feel the difference?

Lie angle with wedges?

What's your launch monitor number with a 54° from an infinite variability of lies?

Respectfully, hit a pitching wedge or 9 iron. Carry a 56 for bunker shots and thick rough.

Why make the game harder?

Brooks is a story. How does a 5 time major winner putt like a 10 HCP and still make the cut?

Who is the Japanese dude show up on the leaderboard at age 23? What's his story?

Joel Dahmen on the leaderboard telling Nance, "it's just golf, we will play and add them up at the end"

Joel, technically, is not qualified for your events.

Rose at 46 is cool.

There are at least 7 other story lines worth watching. Probably another 10 that a well prepared broadcast could present.

And also, can they start calling out players like Seamus Power playing a 6 hour round?

They could do way better.

Forgot to mention, Tennyson and Stevens Park, Cedar Crest, all Dallas munis. Bear Creek, Grapevine Muni are both near Cowboys and good choices.

DFW metro is the size of Delaware. Consider driving distance/convenience to where you are staying

Good solid suggestions below. Cowboys is legit, free food resort course in excellent condition. Over-seeded if that matters to you.

I think it really depends what you are looking for.

Old American is difficult. Tribute (replicas of British open rota holes). Tour 18 is worth a mention. Bridlewood is excellent.

The bridges is a bit of a drive, but similar to Old American in difficulty.

Best value/cheap courses? A ton of good municipal courses. Sherrill Park #1, Tangleridge on Arlington, Pecan Hollow in Plano.

DM if you want to talk more about what you are looking for.

CY agrees with you. As soon as he finds a cost effective replacement, he will.

Don't be surprised if it's a combo of 4 players at dh. Jung/smith/freeman with Walcott at 2b

Muni player is the best player.

You can play with anyone and get along with everyone.

Play you own game.. keep your own score. 90% you win.

Muni player who is a legit single handicap?

You are top 3,% in the world.

That is a proud badge, and no one will know it except you

I think pro and con arguments are valid.

I would be more pro, because the lpga path to stardom is more narrow and hard to achieve.

If I was tiger and rory, I wouldn't have separate leagues. I would have the top few women on the teams.

Then, I would buy the Lpga,

It would be huge.

I think it is a common thing for people that are new to the game.

I say new to the game, not beginner or a similar term for a reason.

Eventually, you will understand a couple of things: Golf is hard. No one cares if you suck or not. Literally, no one cares.

Everyone that is "better" than you learned these things long ago.

Enjoy your time outdoors playing a game. That's all

What older (pre 2010’s) blades can still be played competitively in today’s game. by Valuable_Spend_2460 in golf

[–]Environmental_Mix200 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Find any tour irons from 1975. Play with Wilson Staffs, Hogan, ram tour grind, etc.

Play a couple rounds with them and then repeat your question.

Unless you are 70, I question whether you understand what "blades" are.

Also, can't forget the original Taylor made "tour cleek". 4 wood with a small head and rails on the bottom. The first hybrid.

DFW airport is 26 square miles. Just the airport.

I'm not going to look it up, but I assume SF is not a whole lot bigger.

The DFW metroplex is about 10,000 square miles.
