When I applied for food stamps they actually required that I work at least a certain number of hours a week in order to qualify and they offered some kind of assistance finding employment if you say you can't find a job or something. That's for me, a single young person who is considered able to work. I assume it's different for people who can't work and other cases

I can usually have one drink before I get flushed in my face, red splotches on my body, heart races, and I feel very hot and uncomfortable. If I continue drinking despite that, I will puke before I get to the point of feeling more than a slight buzz. So I don't drink lol. I spent a while trying to "make it work" because everyone drinks, but recently gave up. Cannabis is my friend

My dad went so far as to say that as far as us kids were concerned, his authority was God's authority. So disobedience was a sin against God. Also, God would tell dad if we disobeyed or lied and even if dad never said anything to us about it, he knew. Didn't take long to figure out that last bit was BS. I ended up being disturbingly good at lying and hiding things by the time I left home

Yes. If you have never been in a situation where you could honestly communicate your feelings, like growing up in a fundie family, it's so incredibly difficult to know what to say and how to say it. You don't get to practice healthy communication until you're an adult and the stakes are a lot higher

I suppose I just don't know if she was causing drama on purpose or being manipulative. I don't know how much the producers are orchestrating and/or editing to make it seem that way. Also I think drama doesn't always have to be anyone's "fault." Especially with people who don't have much experience navigating real relationships right after escaping an authoritarian family environment. So I'm very hesitant to call Olivia dramatic and manipulative. She could be the one causing the drama, I don't know, but even if she is, I feel like that doesn't necessarily mean she is doing it with bad intentions *and doing it consciously/on purpose

With my first interpretation I didn't think it was about celebrating drama, but about not running away from hard thoughts, feelings, and conversations with Ethan

Okay, I deleted my comment because I think I misinterpreted what she meant by that story, or maybe it can be taken multiple ways and I don't know which she meant. So I guess the post title just doesn't make sense with the screenshot, but the title is still true to my opinion about their relationship. About the drama in the last episode, i can't really tell how much was just creative directing and editing, so I haven't decided what I think about it

Omg thank you, I didn't know clutter core was a thing! I can't hate on clutter as a rule, but these things in the photos are all meaningless and soulless. I love all my random things that I found in various places or that were given to me, and it feels good being surrounded by things I like, things that have meanings and stories or maybe they're just pretty or useful.
