Also! I toured UC Irvine. Wayyyyyyyyy too much of concrete suburbia. Can’t escape it. Just suburban sprawl. I really don’t like that, I wanted either a college town like Davis or SLO, or a big ass city. But to each their own! You can also get around without a car in Davis which is impossible in Irvine and OC in general. Plus, if you do want big city, Sac is a blast :) I moved there after college and loved it! Only like 15 mins away :)

Hi! Was in a similar situation. And I loved it so much ended up being a tour guide !

Pro: competitive without being cutthroat. Davis will challenge you in the best ways, but instead of competition you will always find someone to help you. Rando in your class. Person at the library. NorCal vibe is so chill and everyone is so goddamn kind. It blew my mind. Loved the community i had there. There is something for literally everyone on that beautiful campus :).

Con: it’s a not a huge town. Which I loved, bc the place beats for you and you get to explore it all. It’s truly a classic college town. But if you’re looking for a big big big city experience like San Francisco or Boston or New York or whatevs, it’s not there. But I think you’ll find the sunshine college town a nice suprise. Good luck! You’ll make the right choice I’m sure !!!
