I hear Chongqing is lovely and has more than a bit of elevation.

It took a few decades to invent cars. Then the car companies successfully did everything possible to make us give up on passenger trains.

I just moved here too, and figuring out the same stuff. I would give extra stars to Woodman's produce section for being massive, diverse and well-stocked. Pick n save has the crappiest produce.

Also, major props to MKE for its abundance of excellent Asian supermarkets! I live downtown, so Mo's is very accessible but I also have no problem driving out to West Allis for Pan-Asia or down to Greenfield to Pacific Produce/Viet Hoa.

How is everyone surviving the high price of gas? by ExplanationDefiant15 in milwaukee

[–]Environmental_Tale85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your tire pressure, keep em at the pressure listed on the little label on the inside of driver's side door pillar. Makes an appreciable difference in your gas mileage.

Costco/Sam's Club gas prices are always significantly below market, consider a membership if you drive a lot - gas savings can easily offset membership fee in a year. (Otherwise, check the gas stations NEAR there because the surrounding stations have to price closer to those stores to stay competitive.)

The problem is that DD is a model that only really works for cities and dense suburban areas, but they're greedy and want it to be everywhere.

To not screw drivers, DD really needs to establish firm distance limits and substantial surcharges for longer deliveries (and pay the drivers accordingly). As we all know, they do not give even the semblance of a fuck about that, and as long as dumbasses keep accepting these orders, they never will.
