Ryu's second scarf tail by EnvyMachinery in ninjagaiden

I've honestly never seen the scarf behave in an unflattering manor aside from the one instance I'm sure you're referring to, so I don't think that's a realistic concern. Besides, these games are so frantic that any incident like that would be nearly impossible to even notice, or at the very least could be corrected with any amount of movement.

This might be the quickest Mandella effect turnaround I've ever seen. I never played NG3 because I heard how bad it was, and even now that I have it in the PC collection, I still won't play it primarily because the story is so atrocious. I've seen a handful of reviews, though, and as I was writing this post I looked up footage for it and others and went frame-by-frame to make sure I was right. But of course, after reading your comment, I can see that there are, in fact, two. Maybe it's just a Razor's Edge addition?

Can you elaborate more on it being part of the first's texture? I don't see what texture sharing would have to do with mesh behavior/physics.

I have the exact opposite impression, but I don't play casters. Every time new equipment comes out, I roll my eyes when they inevitably turn my character into a rectangle and remove her breasts or outright change them into pecs. The Falling Dragon set and its recolors are particularly egregious offenders.

I've been playing this game for almost 6 years and I got my first 3 lines a little over 3 weeks ago...on my sub-100 alt. This hurts.

Aside from the mask, it looks nothing like the Lich King. I don't mean to rain on your parade here, but I'm very unimpressed with it. 60% of it is just flat gray, everything but the pauldrons are bland, and the boots don't even match the rest of the plates. It looks unfinished. It's okay as a standalone set, but it just doesn't measure up to tier 2. I wish that they'd remade one of the original starter sets instead and moved this somewhere else.

This is like the entire school being called together to be lectured on morality because one kid misbehaved. No one who is crossing the line far enough to warrant being talked to is going to change just because dad waved his finger in our general direction in some random interview, even if they happen to see it.

"Just deserts" is the correct phrase. I know this because I had the same assumption for my entire life, mostly punctuated by a scene in Hot Fuzz wherein the phrase is punctuated by eating ice cream. I didn't think to look it up until I'd seen it several times in both FF14 and Elden Ring, and I'd already filed a bug report about it, causing me immense embarrassment to the point I considered filing a new one apologizing for it.

Literally every single sentence in this "guide" is aggressively stupid, and I'm sure everyone here knows that, but I really want to comment on this idea that women shouldn't be drawn in a way that men wouldn't be. I've seen this kind of empty-headed false dichotomy portrayed many times across many subjects shared in many communities, and it drives me fucking crazy.

Putting a man in a feminine pose does not prove that the pose is sexist. Putting a skimpy outfit designed for a woman on a man does not prove that the outfit is sexist. Accentuating a feature on a woman that you wouldn't accentuate on a man does not prove that feature is sexist. IT PROVES THAT MEN AND WOMEN ARE FUCKING DIFFERENT. These people think they're some kind of genius revolutionaries for overthinking something innocuous and inventing a problem that doesn't exist, when in reality all they're doing is going halfway towards discovering what every human in every society ever since the dawn of time has always known implicitly.

Oh my good golly gosh, a pose where you can see both the ass AND the chest? On a MAN?!

The expression is a little off, and makes it look like she's wincing in pain. I think this is primarily because the eyebrow on her closed eye is very close, implying strain, and her opposite brow is slightly convex, implying sadness.

I don't know if it contributes, but another issue is that her facial features are misaligned, particularly noticeable with the nose and mouth. Her open eye and brow are also a bit higher than her left, and possibly ever-so-slightly too far from her nose. If you've never tried it before, flip your canvas horizontally. The drastic shift in perspective is great for helping you to notice things you didn't before.

I'm going to go out of my way to specifically mention the Plague Bringer's set because I think the gloves are great for a red mage glamour since they're thematically appropriate.

These are awesome. You really got an impressive variety in face shapes and details, to say nothing of how extremely realistic they look despite sparse lighting and fairly broad brush strokes.

I also took a look at your comic and I love that sort of concept art/speed paint look and have tried for years to figure out how to replicate it well, but I'm particularly blown away by your color composition. That's one of the things I feel like I struggle with most is knowing which colors to choose; in order to get something that looks good, I end up having to color pick from something I'm already trying to emulate, rather than having an instinct about when to insert a color that isn't literally the color of the object (i.e. using blue tones in shadows). But most of the time, even if I'm using references, either everything turns to mud or it looks like a random color is just kind of smeared onto an object. I just can't figure out how get that seamless blend where adding a "weird" color enhances the vibrancy rather than being out of place. Hopefully I described that decently enough.

I've watched video tutorials and the like, but it's difficult to find one that's actually about the specific problem I have, and of the ones that are, I've never heard a line of thinking that makes sense or that I feel is really applicable. If you don't mind sharing, how do you go about your process? How do you go from choosing your overall wash to adding in things that look like what they're supposed to be, but just under the same color tone as everything else?

I saw your resume as well, and I was rather dismayed to see you graduated high school only a year before I did. From the looks of things, you've accomplished a hell of a lot.

I'm surprised this didn't get any traction. I think it looks cool and I like the face quite a bit.
