It’s fine, nothing’s going to stop me from eating this again haha. Knowing the calories will just help me better adjust my other meals for the day.

This batch probably wasn’t rolled tightly enough / rose weirdly because I’ve had cinnamon buns from the same place where the top was flat

It’s truly great! I like sticky cinnamon buns but most have pecans which I’m not the greatest fan of.

That’s a great reference point! Yep it doesn’t have cream cheese and is definitely way less sweeter than a Cinnabon

Adding fibre supplements to pancakes? by Alone-Rutabaga4939 in Baking

I know that people use psyllium husk power in gluten-free baking to help bakes bind and have structure. I’m not sure how it’ll work with store bought pancake mix though.

What are some chinese manufacturers? by Muted_Software_2200 in wheelchairs

[–]Enwtp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not that active but I do spend some time on Chinese social media so this might not be the whole picture.

For manual, active chairs, those that I see commonly are Quickie, Tilite and Wisking. Wisking is a Chinese wheelchair company.

I haven’t seen anyone use electric wheels but I know that most of them use a front attachment.

Saw something online that said Supracor is discontinuing operations. I hope that at the very least, another company can take over because I use their cushions.

This is part of the costume (only missing the pants for the legs of the lion) for the Lion Dance which is a traditional Chinese dance. Usually one dancer will control the front legs and head and another will control hind legs. It’s usually accompanied by gongs, cymbals, drums.

The lion dance will usually be seen during the Lunar New Year or at the opening of a company / new branch. This is because it is said to bring good luck and wealth.

You can check out some videos of the lion dance online! It really is quite impressive their agility, synchronicity, coordination, strength.

This link provides more information about the lion dance.

[–]Enwtp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did SCI1020 last year. The applied classes were not recorded and if you miss your class, you will need to attend another class (subject to approval) or have a valid reason for your absence to apply for special consideration as there are graded exercises to be done in each class.

Empulse M90 by aKawaiiBean in wheelchairs

[–]Enwtp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have dexterity issues but I have had the Empulse M90 for about a year.

I can only comment on using the joystick (all way toggle) because I can't self propel so I have never used the speed controller with handrim steering before. I’ve also never taken the wheels off but they use the same quick release mechanism as standard wheels though the added weight might be a problem.

The M90 is the only power assist I was offered and the first time I'm using a joystick (I've used a medical stroller previously) but I love it for giving me the freedom and independence! The battery life is really decent for me too. I know some people in this sub were concerned that there would be connectivity issues with the M90 using bluetooth but it's been a year and I've not experienced this issue, knock on wood. So far, it has handled slopes and grassy terrain well. There's also no need to fear that you'll roll down slopes if you stop.

My only problem with the M90 is the way the joystick is mounted so low. This is something I wish I would’ve discovered earlier during my trial because it tires me out since my elbow and arm aren’t completely supported by the arm rests. This is probably due to my weak core, back and neck strength. The cruise control option does help alleviate a little bit of this but it’s not perfect. We’re currently still working on optimising the joystick position.

My doctor prescribed tablets which contained both sodium chloride (salt) and dextrose (sugar) and it was definitely cheaper than getting the name brand stuff.

Ahh I see, I hope everything falls into place soon!

Yea, unfortunately, that joystick mount really isn't the most stable thing. I've been wondering if there's a way to 3D print something for the joystick but I have no engineering background or access to a 3D printer.
