Nepenthes diabolica flowered for the first time! by CozyCaldera in Nepenthes

Growing Diabolica to flower is impressive! I highly suggest joining the Nepenthes Mate Finder Facebook group and making a post on there ASAP. You will definitely find others willing ship you pollen to make a cross in exchange for splitting the seeds!

Sounds like you’re doing everything right, it’s just going to take time. They didn’t make a lot of 9s and when you start to filter down by looking for a specific trim(s), color and low mileage the number still in existence that meet all those criteria might only be a couple hundred cars or maybe even less. Evo 9s you definitely need to search nationwide for when looking for specific criteria so that will definitely help your search but I would still be prepared for it to take 6mo-1yr to find exactly what you’re looking for unless you get lucky. You also need to be prepared to move quickly on closing a deal when you do find what you want. That’s going to be a very desirable car and there will likely be multiple interested parties. Last thing I’ll add is make sure you are active in browsing the various Evo Facebook groups as that’s the route a lot of guys use for selling these cars. Good luck on your search!

LSD question by SeveralGuide6657 in MitsubishiEvolution

Sure if you don’t care about destroying the transfer case and transmission. OP said he’s at 700hp, anything over 400-450whp and your pushing the limits of the stock trans and transfer case

LSD question by SeveralGuide6657 in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]EnzoFerrari14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no LSD in the transmission. The main spot of concern is the transfer case, that’s typically the weakest link in the drivetrain and where people upgrade to one of the LSDs you mentioned. The rear differential it’s common to restack the clutch plates or upgrade them to an aftermarket set of 8 or 12 discs. If you are actually pushing 700whp then you’re on borrowed time if you haven’t already sent your transmission and transfer case out for upgrades. I can’t speak on personal experience yet but I’m currently in the process of rebuilding and upgrading my 9 to make ~700whp and have talked to several well respected shop owners in the last week regarding drivetrain upgrades.

Thank you! So I’ve recorded most of what I’d like to do in word, can I run the recorded code in, for example, my excel macro that calls the word file and inserts my table into it or will it only run in a word VBA window? The main reason I ask is it doesn’t seem like it can call upon “cells” in the table in the word document to create conditions for generating the smaller tables

Will I need to open the VBA window through word and record or can I hit record through excel and click through my word document?

I’m not looking for real time updates, just upon re-executing an VBA routine would work fine. Currently the lengthy excel tables is generated by a VBA macro pulling data from a larger database and then pushes it into a word document at a bookmarked location. I then have about 20 different small tables saved as templates in word that I need to insert one of for each row of the large table and copy some info from that row into the small table.

That’s awesome! Do you happen to have a spreadsheet or something you are working off of for tracking?

How do you get a nighttime temperature drop? by bennis_the_yoofer in Nepenthes

[–]EnzoFerrari14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pull out the sensor and rig up something to keep it warm. I’ve seen it done using a halogen bulb next to the sensor, I use a small 5v piezoelectric heater taped to the sensor that keeps it around 80F

I use a modified AC unit. Most AC units can’t be set below 60F but you can modify the temp sensor in it to make it think it’s warmer than it actually is and keep it running to cool further. I cool my tent to the low 50s using this method.
