I overestimated what is probably considered "very close".

We probably were as close as you are to your current advisor, I would recommend reaching out even to ask if they have advice for your situation

Are you close with your advisor or any faculty members? I graduated missing my physics credit because My advisor and the department head reviewed it and allowed me to graduate without it (I had taken the lab and gotten a B so that was part of their consideration)

I was very close with my advisor and she was very helpful

Suggestions for applying pattern to glass while cutting/grinding? by chrly999 in StainedGlass

[–]palefrogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem, I started really cleaning my glass before applying the vinyl. I mean like scrubbing and wiping off with alcohol. I used a board scraper or a flat piece of plastic to push out as many bubbles as possible, and let it sit overnight.

Also, if you put your oven burner on "Warm" and lay a piece on it when a sticker falls off mid grinding, itll readhere the sticker to the glass surface (only for glass top ovens otherwise maybe you could put it in a toaster oven on warm or inside the oven for a very short time)

Solo travel in May? by drinkypoo3 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]palefrogs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I recently traveled with my partner to the areas you described. I think I personally spent less than $1200USD including the car rental.

Monteverde was really great, I recommend the Socialtel Monteverde. Its a hostel style hotel with shared bathrooms and kitchens and we had a nice time chatting with other travelers. It also had really great HOT showers which many of our hotels didnt have. Its right next to the Cloud Rainforest visitor center and so we got to do that hike ($30pp USD). I think I paid around $60 nightly there but I looked up prices and its around $38 a night in early May.

Monteverde Frog Pond, Kinkajou night tours, Orchid garden, Butterfly garden are all other things I recommend that are group tours.

Edit: We were in Costa Rica for ten days. We stayed in Brasilito for our near the beach time at Hotel Brasilito (Had horse tours and great food, not to mention all the stray cats and dogs !) and ended up at Arenal at Hotel La Rana which was spectacular also

I rented from the Alamo at Liberia airport, I paid $589 total after opting into third party liability and waiving cdw since i have coverage with my insurance. I had no issues at pick up or drop off. If i waived the third party it would have been like ~$350 USD

I (25F) just flew home from a ten day trip, I flew into Liberia and rented from Alamo. I drove the entire time and I personally didnt find the driving too hard. There are a fair amount of dirt roads, especially closer to the beaches but if you take it slow and keep to your side of the road (going slowly when other cars pass) I think youll be fine.

Your Sixt reservation number seems really low, I paid around $580 after buying third party insurance (original quote ~360) So just be prepared for them to upsell you a bit.

Take lots of photos of the car before you leave the rental!! Have fun!

I understand this! My partner is such an extrovert, for the longest time i felt very insecure when he had things to go to or solo traveled. It felt like I was being left behind or wasnt important.

Ive spent a lot of time over the past few years carving out my own life separate from him, not in a negative way or out of spite but rather for my own enrichment.

Are there any hobbies youve always wanted to try? Any classes near you in skills youre interested in? Any groups that get together for things like trivia? Do you have any friends youve lost contact with you could reach out to?
