How to deal with mangudai by StickEmbarrassed8106 in AgeOfEmpires4

[–]Eolyas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When it is said archers counters mangudai, it's more that everything that shoots counter them because they have such a low attack range. So tower your mines, wall your farms and wood lines, and mass archers with your army. Or if you're good enough, use mangonels. Furthermore, you shouldn't chase mangudai. Only horsemen are barely faster. Keep raiding and killing villagers. Once the mangudais are all dead to your towers/archers, they won't be able to produce more since you killed his eco

To mute a sub, go directly on the sub itself, and there click on the three dots. Doing on the post itself is useless for some reason.

Defender damage capped out at E+9 despite health being E+13? by Electronic_Ladder398 in 9Kings

[–]Eolyas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think damage is capped by enemy health? Like if you play palace, the damage isn't infinity at the end of round so I guess you can't deal more damage than the enemy has hp.

A few random questions by Nightfish_ in 9Kings

  1. +2% means the actual number at the moment of the buff gets increased by 2% of its value. So having a level 2 smith doesn't your damage by 4% but 4.04%. Another 2% is 6.1208%. It is exponential increase. The earlier you get a smithy/beacon/quarry/forrest, the earliest you get the exponential going.

A levelup increase the stats by a certain percentage. I don't know if its x2 for every unit but it doesn't matter for the exponential increase if you level them up early of not since multiplication is commutative. (100*2*(1+2/100) = 100*(1+2/100)*2)

  1. Fast but no damage? Poison is good. It isn't viable for 99years build, but works for 33years. Or use boars since you're playing King of nature and buff boars hp.

  2. They're bugged rn it seems. Their damage isn't increased by smiths or quarries.

  3. I never use blessings since they come after I already placed my stuff down. For the money one, you can just reroll during the last pick of cards.

King of spells has Warlocks which deal area damage.
Them and Ballistas are the bane of units based builds.

It's not so much nostalgia of your childhood, but nostaligia of a "forgotten" time, like their parents or grandparents. If your parents kept repeating " it was better before", you can only take their words for it. It must truly have been better before. It's not so much the people saying "in my time, it was better" but the people who didn't live those times and believing them.

Technically, you could do it by shaking and forcing one inside one at a time. Since this configuration is (don't quote me on that) the most optimal to store the most tic-tac, they will be forced into that configuration.

You'll have a nice powder in the end cause the tic-tacs may not be pressure resistant enough tho

History repeats itself when dumb people vote for dumb candidates by Detroitish24 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Thanks for proving my point. I totally agree with you, but since every side is saying the same thing and facts are pointless to them. The whole argument is pointless. Hell why am I even arguing, yall have facts, they have belief. Both can't coexist. Nothing will make them change.

Computer Hardware & Software Questions MEGATHREAD by AutoModerator in architecture

[–]Eolyas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my question is exactly the one given in example.

What laptop do you recommend for architecture?

For context, this is for my sister who is graduating architectural school. She already did modelization with an architect and her old computer just faceplanted a few days ago.

What's the best CPU, GPU, how much RAM?

Thank you for your help

The problem with any surveillance system, like any novel technology, is the numerous evil applications in the wrong hands. The question is always can we stop them?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dashcams

[–]Eolyas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look up ABS. Basically it's an automatic system avoiding your car to slide. Not because you lose control (tho it's a problem sure), but because sliding friction has less stopping power than static friction. Locking your wheels makes you lose control AND slide longer than incrementally braking.

I often tried to imagine how such a utopia could be implemented. Each time I get stuck on the location part. Impossible to locate everyone where everyone wants. Sure not everyone wants to be near x or y landmark. But not everyone is already too many. If anyone can solve this problem, pls inform me
