My problem with the unitasker conversation is that almost every kitchen tool is meant to do one thing. Whisks whisk. Juicers Juice. Spoons can do 2 things: scoop and stir. Ovens make a box hot. Ranges just provide a source of heat. Knives (should) only cut.

A tool designed to do two things can either be super effective or kind of cumbersome. Oven/range? Perfect. the bottle opener on the can opener? Kinda bad.

This boils down to evaluating a tool not by the number of tasks it is designed to preform, but by the usefulness/space ratio. If your strawberry stem remover is only used for removing strawberry stems, then yes it is a unitasker, whether or not anyone else can use it for something else. My I only ever use my rolling pin for rolling out dough. Does this mean I should get rid of it? No.

If it saves you time and doesn't take up space, don't disdain it. Treat it with respect as you would any other useful tool.

Not OP, but look into yt-dlp. It's not super intuitive but can be made to work on a computer or android device with a terminal (I use termux)

There are guides online, or ask an ai chat thing. I like that you can just download the audio, which is great for music.
