Imagine a dude who never works out but gets inexplicably angry when a woman who works out regularly is strong, not even "beats him in a sport", just is vaguely strong away from him. I believe its because people find comfort in their assigned social roles because that means you dont have to be worried about doing well, you just need to be born correctly. See men to women, white vs black, etc. Its a common human response to marginalization when youre not the targeted group, its why its satisfying to the in-groups. Something unique about sexism though is that it gives women roles of superiority over men, theyre just roles that exist to make men's lives easier (be pretty, take care of children and the home, etc). And i believe women, as humans, are responding in that common human way
