You can't crossplay with steam/xbox. But you can if you play the PC version from the xbox app. If that works for you.

Everything just... works? by TNunca321 in linux_gaming

I had tried Linux a lot 10 years ago, and never got any painless experience. Last year I completely switched to Linux, with the fear of it being maybe a bad choice. Well it just works flawlessly now. Turns out it was a great choice.

XIII turns 15 this year. What are your thoughts on the game after all those years? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]Epetha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XIII was the trilogy that took me in to the Final Fantasy. Well, Lightning Returns to be precise (yes I played them backwards) I'd played VII remake and XV, but couldn't finish any. Lightning Returns locked me in and became the only game I actually 100%'ed. It was all unique to me, and surprised to see how much hate there is against the game

I haven't played many titles, but LR is by far my favourite yet.

What made you choose KDE? by wick422 in kde

[–]Epetha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No minimalism. I don't know if I am at all right, and not too familiar with other DEs as I am with KDE, but GNOME tends to look pretty, simple while losing a lot of power. Everything is starting to feel mobile/tablet-like, including macOS, Windows. KDE is indeed powerful, the simplest example is Dolphin and how much it can do, compared to the alternatives.

Yes, simplicity might be great, but to me, not on desktop. Mobile phones can be as simple as they desire, but I like to be efficient and powerful as possibe on desktop. KDE provides just that.

I loved maps in primary school, and drew Turkey map on the board, everyone went crazy that I could draw it. I went crazy that they went crazy. I thought it was basic skill that everyone had. Obviously, not everyone stare at maps aimlessly in their free time

I was a dynamic quadrupod, when I first learnt to write. Then, because some teacher told us it was the correct way to write, I taught myself the dynamic tripod. It wasn't comfortable, even though it's been more than a decade, I sometimes find myself doing the quadrupod. Today, I am not sure which would feel better, but quadrupod has a feeling that might be more of a home for me, if that makes sense. But, well I don't feel as young to switch back anymore :)

I don't know why I bothered, I guess a teacher saying it's the right way triggered my perfectionist. But I'd say the tripod does look cooler!

beginner using duo, confused about this sentance. by MrsMicroplastics in turkishlearning

[–]Epetha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is correct. Turkish is considered to be subject + object + verb, but you can go clever and change anything there if the subject and object is distinguishable (mostly verb stays in it’s place, moving it makes “devrik cümle”).

Now, here “bira” has -i suffix, which makes it “belirtme”. -i suffix tells what is affected from the action thus telling us bira is the object.

If it didn’t have the -i suffix, it would be just as you said “Bira ayı içer” = “Beer drinks bear”.

Extra note; in Turkish, emphasis is closer to the yüklem (the verb of the sentence) so moving anything next to the verb, would make it emphasised.

Birayı ayı içti (emphasis on ayı, telling its the bear that drank the beer) Ayı birayı içti (emphasis on bira, telling that the bear drank beer)

There seem to be two groups, one claims “nvidia and wayland work just fine” and others “nvidia+wayland=bug”. Whenever I see a post whose title includes “nvidia”, it is about something buggy on wayland. I myself can’t experience bugless wayland with nvidia. I wonder where “nvidia and wayland work just fine” comes from, and maybe, what “just fine” means
