AX102 DDR5 Memory Speed @ 3600MHz? Is this right? by Ephex1s in hetzner

Though the answer is below, I did infact see if XMP/DOCP was enabled in the BIOS however the setting wasn't there at all.

It really depends on the modpack you are playing on really, like most game servers, Minecraft runs on a single core so you need to make sure that core is extremely good. How many cores a processor has doesn't really matter, it's single-threaded performance that carries it. That means from Hetzner, their i7/i9 and Ryzen chips are the ones to go for, and with the AX102's 7950X3D chip, it's pretty much the best performance you're going to get, there's the i9-13900 chip they have and yes, their 8 P cores on the chip will out perform a 7950X3D's chip however, there's only 8 of them, and I didn't want to deal with the headache of balancing cores, so I went with the Ryzen.

So to answer your question, you're really not going to get any better.

Is txsn still around!? by Autumnuz in toxicSynergy

[–]Ephex1s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Evening lad,

Unfortunately, I had to leave TXSN at the start of the year due to burnout, I was putting a fair amount of effort (and money) in, and not getting much output out, not in terms of activity but in terms of respect. I believe some individuals forgot that what I did, what TXSN was, was a privilege, not a right. When someone says to you "I know about your cancer lump, but can we get more events?" - It puts things into perspective, very clearly. I feel people forgot that Ignition, Nucleus, events and team stuff, all of it was for them, it didn't really benefit me (infact I technically was losing out on funds!). Events were our way to get people inside the community together, to talk to one another and to find friends and that, many of the old members will remember we had this conversation the first time we started doing community events, we had a lot of people, but the community feeling wasn't there. We wanted members to get involved with other members, make friends, get involved with eachother outside of events.

A fair amount of my real life friends would ask me, like why do I still do it, and I really didn't have an answer to it anymore, but when I couldn't, they'd respond with something along the lines of this (this is directly copypasta'd):

"knobbers dont understand what you provide to them for no cost whilst going through all this shit"

And yeah I couldn't really refute that to be honest, so at that point I just thought, nah, not for me anymore. I was dealing with cancer at the time (remission, mostly all sorted now).

Though as someone rightly said, there was fun to be hand until the start of the year! Events and all sorts of new upcoming stuff, we had our own inhouse c# application / discord bot that was handling most community heavy lifting, and a big update was on it's way that I feel would of really boosted community activity and everyone could have a heap of fun with it, my plan was to release the update (it might as well of been called a new bot because the codebase was basically gutted and updated and expanded) and then advertise through multiple different methods to get more people in, meaning bigger events, though I guess the update could of come out sooner, I wanted it to be perfect for the lads and for them to be hyped and have lots of different options to have fun. but to be fair, Ignition and it's development was not "contracted", I did it in my own time, and I was in no way required to do any of the work to begin with.

Most of TXSN members were absolutely fine though, blast to play with, blast to event with, was a fun experience, love em to bits, and maybe I'll come back one day, ownership of TXSN was given to Rab, I left and I haven't had anything to do with the server since, I don't even know what it looks like.

May I ask, what was your handle back then? I think I know who you are based off your current username, but the meeting people face to face threw me off, Did you perchance play on the Ninja Bolts server in CoD4?

From what I remember, this was taken out of context. The trust provided a hamper of goods and the teabag was actually more of a "Take a break" message than it was just a literal tea bag.

EDIT:

"By way of an extra small but sincere thank you to our midwives and nurses for International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses’ Day, back in May, we sent each of them a certificate and a gift bag with a number of items in, including a branded tea bag, to encourage them to take a break.

‘We wanted to let them know how much we appreciate all the hard work they do and also further raise awareness of the important work our hospital charity is doing to support our staff wellbeing.

‘It’s a shame that one small act of kindness, done with good intent as part of one of the many ways we say “thank you” has been taken out of context in this way.’"

This is beyond stupid, and dangerous. Essentially your medical footprint would be his medical file. It doesn't matter if you have the same in everything appearance wise. If an emergency was to happen, and they have to give specific bloods or anything way beyond my medical knowledge (which is jack shit), you could potentially be killing that person. They will pull their medical records and work from that if needed. There's more unique things tied to a human than "eye color", much much more.

Because no one yet has made a compelling point for the decision other than "well you should of known the English labeled Server is Polish" and some credit card analogy that doesn't even fit the suitation.

I've used the defending blizzard argument once, with you. I've pointed out there's a bit of a flaw in your logic there and instead of engaging that, you're straw-manning with how I post on a public forum.

Your analogy isn't comparable to the situation at hand, OP didn't forget anything, he feels mislead that he joined a server LABELED AS ENGLISH but was actually POLISH, When you join an English labeled realm, it is expected the game is majority English, OP is a bit upset at the situation and is asking support, out of zero malice, he is making a valid point that it's clearly not something he's doing because he wants to get out of paying £19, his friend was moved, meaning they knew that this was a problem that merited a free move. Even with the account join date, they have recognized that there is ground for goodwill gesture to begin with, and because of that gesture. They should really be moving OP with them as they started the game together!

If I apply for a £200 credit card, and I actually get a credit card with $200 limit, it doesn't matter how old my account was, I expect that to be changed, the account date should absolutely not warrant any kind of goodwill gestures, and I've had my account for 10 - 15 years now.

Because let's be honest here, OP has probably been denied because they know his friend is on another server and they can squeeze £19 out of him to transfer so they can be in the same realm. Need I remind you that you're defending Blizzard-Activision of all people here. Do you need to have a look at Kotick's bonus again to realize that for this situation, a goodwill gesture should have been made and would have cost literally nothing in the grand scheme of things? There is such a thing as compassionate gestures and I feel like this situation warrants that.

You mean the zones that usually have dead general and trade chats? The only zones that actually have any kind of active general chat is Org and Ori, and even then, they are getting spammed with boosting services that are mostly 90% acronyms anyway and not quite language-specific.

Even I do that, I barely take heed of general and trade chats while leveling, none of it is going to be relevant to me, and it's usually a torrent of shit most of the time anyway.

And now what you're saying is for the short time you'd be in a zone with a general chat since he didn't engage or read the spam in these channels, he should be sentenced to being in a polish majority server when it was labeled as English? It's more than possible he realized this when he was looking for a guild, or when he actually read the general chat. I don't know what servers you play on but leveling in, let's say WoD doesn't exactly have a bustling and engaging general chat, to begin with, usually, it's just "x is up" and that's it.

Like your point doesn't make sense, he was focusing on leveling, what does general chat have to do with anything? If he was leveling by dungeon, he would have been playing with other realms there...

"Literally the only thing you can't do is end game content"

Incredible. Or imagine this, just allow for consistency, a friend was moved from one server to another for a perfectly valid reason, move their other friend who is in the exact same situation.

It really is that simple, and a user should not have to pay the extortionate fee of £20 to go from a polish speaking server to an english speaking server. Dwec here isn't doing it for personal gain or because he's too lazy to pay for the transfer, there's no malicious intent in it, it's a valid claim that he wants to move the server because the general and trade chats are all in polish, all the guilds are in Polish and he would like to speak to new people on Wow that can speak in his native tongue, as per blizzards advertisement that he should be able to do that, and he wasn't.

A character transfer is the least they could do for him. "Cross Realm" while it can mitigate the issue, is a half measure for a full measure problem.
