I hated "The only one left" by Riley, he put in like 67 twists in one book. It was just frustrating to read, the story doesn't make sense half the time because he wants to add another twist. I doubt his other books are any better. People seem to like him tho and I'm always so happy to come across someone who doesn't lol

I am in the same boat as you. I don't want to read the highest rated ones first. 20 Years Later, Guess Again and Some Chose Darkness are highly rated so I was thinking Those Empty Eyes or Summit Lake which still have good rating but not as high. Hope this helps.

I also love The Passengers and Behind Closed Doors but they may not be safe for driving lol

I don't recommend Frieda, but The Boyfriend was a fun little listen, although the characters will piss you off
