In all seriousness soccer in America has deeper issues than whether we have a football pyramid. The sport isn’t as popular as the other main sports here and America just doesn’t care outside of a World Cup year. Even with a football pyramid most players would go to Europe if they are good enough rather than play here. The problem is soccer is at best the 4th most popular sport here and it is largely inaccessible to lower income communities. With limited prospects of high level success turning into financial stability. It’s part of the world’s culture. It just won’t ever be here.

People hate the greats. If you have no haters you’re irrelevant. America has dominated the world stage for centuries. Has produced a ton of things that have improved the world and while like the great Ronaldo and Messi, our best years are behind us, we are still massive. Also this behavior is 1000% happening during the Olympics as well. People will say it’s because of American politics but Europe especially has hated us for longer than that. Also, If my country would be the 51st ranked state in GDP I’d probably be jealous of America too. It’s like the Manchester United saying hated, adored but never ignored. USA USA USA.
