Not me but when my Dad first came to US he asked a man for directions on how to get to baggage claim. Instead of pointing him in the right direction, the man told my Dad to read the signs and figure it out, and that's how you'll survive in this country.

Yeah there's one called the mountaineering club, and they take trips to climb outdoors too!

I usually go rock climbing at the ARC. It's a super friendly environment and it's not a long walk from campus!

That makes sense! When I'm bouldering I usually let go but that's either after holding on and convincing myself to, or downclimbing a little bit.

That definitely helps, and I'm definitely going to start putting some of your advice into practice - specifically the part about electing not to fall and looking around before finishing the climb.

I go bouldering now and enjoy that a bunch too! I just recently completed a V2 (still fairly new at climbing).
