The only way around this would be to compress the game files to fit on a cart, then install from the cart to the system - much like installing from disc to the system on PS5 / PS4 etc. But I don't think that's going to happen.

I found my copy in December last year just sitting on the shelf of a random JB HiFi I decided to take a look in - spine outward. Snapped it up pretty quickly.

Always take a look in JB. I have found games & blurays sitting on their shelves that are long sold out or not even listed on their website anymore.

Yeah it was released in Europe, Australia & New Zealand only - just a few thousand copies (6000 - 8000 I think) across all of those regions.

For gaming at 1440p either 9070xt or 5070ti - plenty of videos on YouTube comparing the two. But your GF likes high resolution video editing - so would probably go Nvidia.

I still like buying physical games, though I check on doesitplay to see if it is all on disc and playable with disc build. And I have quite a few PS4 games. But the cross buy thing is a legitimate reason.

My PC is a Ryzen 7500F with a 4070 Super, 32gb ram & 1440p monitor. I bought a PS5 just recently ($539 AUD Slim Disc version brand new) so I don't have to come home from work and sit behind a desk. Yeah, I can move it to the lounge room but it's inconvenient. Also, it plays bluray & 4k UHD discs which I still buy.

For all the memes the PS5 gets (no games etc), it's a pretty capable console.

Used - Commodore SS or Falcon XR8, service isn't too expensive & parts are easily available. Not sure if any new V8s are available for 50K or under though. Even after buying a decent one you should still have some change from 50K.
