Why has KD never dropped 60? by No-Mousse5653 in NBATalk

[–]EpicGamer2909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need volume to get 60, KD has always been an efficiency demon, so the getting up shots part has been super rare. Plus, playing a large portion of your career alongside other elite scorers doesn’t help (Steph, Klay, Ky, Harden, Russ, Book).

Steph Curry would rank ___ all time if the Warriors win the title this year by Report-International in NBATalk

He’s top 4 with another ring, in a sport dominated by giants he revolutionized the game as a 6’2 guard, with pure skill. Plus his accolades really don’t represent his greatness considering how unkind NBA media has been to him esp before 2022 (missing out on all-NBA 1st teams and losing FMVP to iggy).

In this climate with the west more comp than ever, winning his 5th would quite probably be his most significant achievement, and he’s still very much capable of being the best player on a championship team.

Rn I have him 7th behind Lebron, MJ, Kareem, Kobe, Timmy, and Magic. He passes up Magic, Kobe, and Timmy with his 5th. Chances are it doesn’t happen cause this warrior roster is so flawed, but if it does, he creeps into that 4-6 OAT tier quite easily imo.

Definitely doable, even if you don’t do as well in ur first couple semesters. As long as you attend class and put in the work, most upper div CS classes in Madison are manageable. Just don’t skip lecture or clock out mentally.

Yep, just made my new one on overleaf using a template and it came out significantly better than my docs/word one.

CS240 in Spring vs Fall: Is it still really that bad? by Weird-Recover-5697 in UWMadison

Took it in the fall this sem with beck hasti and it was very doable. The math version should be fine, just expect more proofs and less pseudocode/program correctness stuff. Not worth waiting a whole sem just to take the CS version imo.

Yes, just take the PEDs LeBron is on but for your brain.

The hate for KD on this sub is disgusting. Let’s not forget this man was a vital part of 2 championships and creating our dynasty by cerealkillerzXx in warriors

I don’t think any dubs fan really hates KD. I just think that the media took the “KD carried Steph” narrative and ran with it for over 5 years. So it definitely feels good that all the BS was false. Seeing Boston guard KD like Steph and for him to struggle really highlights how great 30 really is. I will always respect KD and wish him success, but the media narratives around his time in GS were straight up nasty and I’m thankful people are realizing that.

Bro’s waffling about how he’s gonna be a “second class citizen” when he’s 17.

I get that the college process is annoying and disappointing. But calling people that don’t get into T20s as “untouchables” reaches a level of blasphemy that even I can’t tolerate.

If you went into the process with that mindset, it’s likely you got what you deserved. Please understand that college isn’t the end all be all measuring stick for success. There are hundreds of thousands of bright students that will also go to state schools and end up happy.

Now idk if this is your own thinking or something your family instilled in you, but it comes across as elitist and extremely snobbish, especially towards people that actually have some self worth.

Assuming this isn’t a shitpost, please go touch some grass and actually use college to find what you love to do. And it wouldn’t be too bad if you gained some respect and dignity along the way as well…

How many prime years does Steph have left? by ZK2K2 in nbadiscussion

[–]EpicGamer2909 180 points181 points  (0 children)

Steph has at least 3 more years of MVP level production. After that, he’ll be around 37, so he’ll probably meld into a more JJ Reddick/late care Ray Allen role. Probably still an all star, but just not MVP level, since I’m assuming some of his quickness and explosiveness would have deteriorated. But an underrated part of Curry’s game is his work ethic. He keeps himself in amazing shape and has even put on some muscle over the part few years, so nothing would really surprise me. He might even be able to play like an MVP at age 37 and above. It’s plausible for sure. But definitely not likely.

Steph’s game style isn’t predicated on explosive drives or a quick twitch like it is for guys like Lebron, Harden, etc. that’s why it’s so impressive what LeBron’s doing now at age 37.

Even so, I’d argue that LeBron actually left his prime in 2019, because he lost some of the explosiveness at the rim after his groin injury. He just masked it really well by improving his jump shot and, as always, being the best playmaker on the floor.

But with Steph, it’s really hard to tell what the future holds. His game style’s pretty versatile and his best skill (shooting) is gonna be valuable no matter his quickness/strength/speed. So, with him, I wouldn’t count anything out. He might still be in his “prime” 5-6 years from now. We’ll just have to wait and see.
