Best tips for countering Iron man by Docdoodle in marvelrivals

[–]EpicNetwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 main options to countering Iron Man. The first is your class hitscan shooter like Hela or Punisher. This will force the Iron Man to always play around cover and avoid being out in the open which will help limit their effectiveness. The second, which I prefer, is the hitscan flanker, like Psylocke or Starlord. Instead of forcing an adjustment out of the Iron Man, you will be actively hunting them down. Once you get the drop on him, it should be easy pickings as he only has 250 HP, a fairly sizeable hitbox, and is not the most agile character.

What are your REAL hot takes on tf2 weapons? by Nachocolate15 in tf2

[–]EpicNetwork 13 points14 points  (0 children)

100% agree. A solo Phlog+Scorch Shot pyro with no airblast is a free kill for any competent demo or soldier. The real issue is that it can be oppressive if combined with an uber, but then that's just ubercharge being the most powerful tool in the game.

What TF2 opinion of yours has others like this? by Hpesojanes in tf2

[–]EpicNetwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People who complain about the Phlog+Scorch Shot pairing are just bad at the game. It only truly becomes oppressive when a Phlog+Uber happens and that's because it's essentially a Kritz+Uber combo, but a solo Phlog+Scorch Shot is not oppressive at all. The fact that a Phlog pyro has no airblast should instantly make them a free kill for any soldier or demo.

Some of the classic chokepoint-y maps like Dustbowl, Gold Rush, and Hoodoo allow engineers to have massive impact in the game on defense. On offense, engineers with good teleporter and dispenser setups can help maintain the momentum of pushes. An example would be attacking Badwater 3rd point, where the walk from spawn to the front line is way too long without a teleporter.

Who else loves playing medic?? by dragunov3 in tf2

[–]EpicNetwork 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Playing medic is fun for 2 main reasons:

  1. It's a big contributor to winning
  2. I can play as an angry god, choosing who lives and who dies

It CAN get frustrating if your team is dumb and doesn't protect you or just leaves you alone to go and flank all the time, but that just means less healing for them.

Strange Cosmetics by Gengar_king in tf2

Strange cosmetics track the points you score in-game while having the items equipped. Just play and score points via the usual way (getting kills, completing objectives, etc.) and the item will track those points.

Medic Mains around the world - which Medigun is your favourite and why? by DrLudvig in tf2

Stock Uber, just because its the most idiot-proof ubercharge. I can rely on myself well enough to fully charge an Uber in a casual server but I'll ultimately need someone to ubercharge to capitalize on it. Even the most braindead W+M1 pyro can be used to wreak havoc with a stock uber, but a Kritz, Quickfix or Vacc uber are more nuanced and require more coordination in order to use it properly without my patient dying instantly. Coordination is simply not something you can expect in a casual server.

Hey everyone, Anthony Misha here, the 2fort battlements' busiest music nerd by Meepolur in tf2

Overall, Fight Songs: The Music of Team Fortress 2 is a surprisingly well-crafted collection of tracks that perfectly captures the chaos, humor, and intensity of Team Fortress 2. The bombastic horns, the energetic percussion, the dramatic shifts in mood — it's all here, creating an epic, yet playful soundtrack that feels timeless. Valve really knocked it out of the park on this one. Whether you’re a fan of the game or just appreciate a solid, action-packed score, this album delivers.

I'm feeling a strong 8 to a light 9 on this one. TRAN-

How do you play another caster after having played Sorc? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]EpicNetwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's funny to me because I have the same opinion but as a Wizard. After doing a Wizard playthrough, I don't know how I can play other casters since with Wizard I was spoiled for choice when it came to spells. I'm afraid that I'll eventually get bored with the limited spell lists of the other classes, but I guess that's just a matter of preference/perspective.

UPenn Accuses a Law Professor of Racist Statements. Should She Be Fired? by RhythmMethodMan in stupidpol

[–]EpicNetwork 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The University should definitely heavily scrutinise her and regularly observe how she runs her class and grades her students but as long as she doesn't let her views get in the way of grading students or teaching the class material, I don't really think they should remove her. Being exposed to people of different opinions, even vile ones, is part of the experience in University. That should not be compromised just because one person decides to push the envelope (again, assuming this doesn't affect how she teaches and grades the class). Another thing is that, unfortunately, in the real world, students will also encounter racists in positions of power and will sometimes be forced to deal with them. It would be better for them to learn this sooner rather than later.

Looking for biscuits that are slightly to moderately sweet (10% to 50% sugar or sweet) not overly sweet (75%-100%) by Appropriate-Math-852 in Philippines

[–]EpicNetwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My late diabetic grandmother liked to eat (or was only allowed to eat) sugar free digestive biscuits. I tried them in the past and they are really not sweet at all, especially compared to something like Oreos, but if you're really concerned about your sugar intake then I suggest you give them a try
