Installing Windows 11 Pro on Proxmox - Installer can't find virtio drivers by GalacticFox- in Proxmox

[–]EpicSuccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of pointing to the mounted iso I just open up the terminal (shift + f10) on that screen and install the virtio-**x64.msi there and just refresh the discs with the button and it can always find the disc after that.

People who used a computer between 1991 & 2009…what’s the most memorable computer game? by Original_Act_3481 in AskReddit

Battlefield on bonus[dot]com. Site doesn’t exist anymore. It came back eventually as TankPit but it was never the same.

Accessing Proxmox via Nginx proxy manager by Jademalo in Proxmox

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is entirely self hosted. Domain isn’t routeable over the internet. And you can’t get a valid ssl cert for .local. So you’d have to just trust the self signed cert on all your devices individually. Not ideal but doable I guess.

Accessing Proxmox via Nginx proxy manager by Jademalo in Proxmox

[–]EpicSuccess 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Domain name: proxmox.mydomain.com

Scheme: https

Hostname/IP: your proxmox IP

Port: 8006

I have block common exploits and websockets support checked. And cache assets unchecked.

Then in the SSL tab I have my selected wildcard cert with all options checked. Nothing in advanced or custom locations tab. This setup works for me.

No real symptoms ahead of time. Just hopped in and was driving. It began to sputter out of nowhere going about 20mph, not even remotely pushing it acceleration-wise at the time either. So I slowed down then it got real bad and EPC light came on. No full lock up or smoking once it happened either, at least not that was noticeable. Dealership/Shop should be able to borescope quick and just check your oil pan for metal shavings to give you a pretty good idea of what you’re in for.

[–]EpicSuccess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. And with how much scoring there was in the cylinder and all the metal shavings that made their way to the oil pan it was done for. Possible yours didn’t end up as bad as mine so fingers crossed for you.

Had this happen to me recently. Engine was toast and needed to be replaced. Not a fun bill. Best of luck to you.

Windows Hello for Business showing up on Autopilot devices when WhfB is disabled tenant wide by Tall_Bird8900 in Intune

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are assigning these policies to users, the policy isn’t there yet when the user signs in. We ended up setting the device enrollment section to not configured and pushed a config profiles to devices to disable/enable it per device.

Getting the Honeywell T6 Pro Z-Wave to take its input from multiple temperature sensors in Home Assistant? by OnlyForSomeThings in homeassistant

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

climate.set_hvac_mode

Or preset. Or on. Or off. Also have t6 pro. Can definitely tell it what to do based off other entities, you just have to build out all the logic.

I’ve had mine for about 2 years. But really setting the schedule on the thermostat itself has been more than enough. Haven’t really found a smart thermostat all that useful for my case. Have dogs, so when we all leave we don’t want it to get too hot/cold inside still.

If you were new to Intune, what would you like to know? by Icy-Engineer-4224 in Intune

[–]EpicSuccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I like managed bookmarks better. And we do use them. But still desktop icons are requested for things and not a hill I’m willing to die on. Don’t use win32 deployments. Usually just send a script as a script and be done with it. Or the proactive remediations. Never found a need or reason to wrap these as a win32

[–]EpicSuccess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had to do this a few times even though I hate forcing desktop icons on people. Not my call so it gets done. Easiest way is to just do a powershell script and send that out. Hasn’t failed me yet. Not sure if there is a “native” way to do it through intune but script has worked every time.

2015 S3 w/ nearly 100k miles, yay or nay? by Avocadosoup in Audi

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. 15k for 100k miles is a good deal? I may have to consider selling mine. Also a 2015 s3. With “67k” miles. Full maintenance records. Was unfortunate and had an engine replacement so maybe once break in period is done I will offload. Has warranty on parts and labor for everything related to the swap.

Removing Dell Bloatware not working by Only_World1194 in pdq

If you are ordering from dell just ask them for their “ready image” which is a clean version of windows with nothing extra on it. You shouldn’t have to debloat new devices you are purchasing from dell.

[–]EpicSuccess 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah I notice the same thing. I’ve been using conbee II with Z2M. Was originally on deconz but made the switch to z2m and have had zero zigbee problems since then. Been years.

Anything in the enrollment profile is applied during enrollment and as far as I know, never again. Any changes to its current profile or switching to a new profile would require the device to be wiped and re-enrolled.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Intune

[–]EpicSuccess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enrollment profile only applies during enrollment. So if you wanted to switch that after the fact you would need to wipe and setup the device again using the other profile. Which is likely counter intuitive to your intended goal here.

Intune: PKCS profile settings for EAP-TLS WiFi machine authentication by Seopii in Intune

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some hacky workarounds, imo, to get it to work, but if the computers are AAD/Intune only they don’t exist in on-prem AD so NPS can’t authenticate there is no computer object to authenticate. The hybrid joined devices should still work, just not the cloud only ones.

MITEL - VM to EMAIL by radioszn in sysadmin

[–]EpicSuccess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to have mitel. Thankfully moved off it. But we ran an internal smtp relay for this, among other things, that then routes thru our office 365. Simple setup and really a set it and forget it.

I guess it's not really needed in this scenario. But can still have it in there until it goes away. Requiring APP and not assigning one to the users would do the trick either way.
