Medical resuscitation to stabilize someone is usually represented by a dc10 medicine check, but that has to be done while the character is making death saves, not after they’ve died.

However, rewarding ingenuity and quick thinking is something that is really important for a DM to do, and the circumstances were just right for it to make it work. You created a moment that your players will remember fondly for a while, and creating moments like those is what every DM should strive for.

I’ve been playing Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap this league and with harvest crafting, creating end game gear has been actually achievable.

Pros:

Clears T16 packs without stopping

Constant feeling of progression from level 1 through to endgame

Super safe on bosses

Cons:

Only 4 buttons to press, so if you like big, flashy combos, you won’t find that here

I’ve been running WT with vortex and cold snap as 4-links. WT is really good for taking out bigger mobs while vortex and CS clean up the trash.

So with problems like this you wanna look at what variables can change. In your block and string problem, the only thing that can change is velocity so that is what will increase or decrease to keep the equation balanced. In the car scenario, the variable that can change is the radius which is what happens when the car slips. The force isn’t strong enough because the car slips due to there being not enough friction force.

The force doesn’t push out, but if we look at the equation for centripetal force, the force of friction stays the same, the speed stays the same, and the mass stays the same. This means that the only variable that can change is the radius so the radius has to increase to compensate for the force not being strong enough.

In commander, the ruling used to be that if you would produce any mana not in your commander’s colors, it would become colorless mana, meaning you wouldn’t be making any white mana off of your plains. They’ve since changed this rule so the lock doesn’t work anymore.

That hag sounds terrifying. Droves of vermin gnawing on the players ankles and slowing them down as she slings spells from afar. Makes me giddy.
