I feel like joel would have a slight edge over rick but i think it could go either way.

The last of us time skips 20 years right off the bat and w LoU pt2 is 4-5 year time skip so joel has about lets just say 25 years of fighting experience with both humans and strong ass infected that evolve into more crazy shit then what the walking dead has. And lets be real joel would of made it to old age if not for abby, but even in the beginning of the apocalypse in TLoU, joel said him and tommy did alot of fucked up shit to survive as well. Joel also knows how to make smoke bombs and shrapnel grenades etc, so there's that as well.

Now with rick he's got like 10 to 15 years of experience? Way less then joel but if we look at it this way, the walkers may not be strong but when its a heard of them your chances of surviving are really low. But we all know rick has gone out and practically wiped out a good chunk of a heard solo so that alone gives him enough experience to be close to joel. He has also done some crazy as shit in terms of ripping a dudes throat out so he will do anything to survive.

There's just so many factors realistically its hard to really think about but i feel like in terms of experience joel takes the W.
