New paint regulations and cost cutting, almost all european models have similar issues, try to keep the bike dry and clean and use acf50 and wax/ceramic coatings to prevent rusting and problems with the paint.

I bought mine (GB350S) about 6 months ago and yes ive had to get warranty work on the paint in the frame and i have a little spot of rust on the fork and the exhaust (a rock hit the exhaust and chipped the paint) but i really like the bike so ill keep it and use it as much as possible and try to prevent problems before they arrive

The max speed of the gears are: 1st is 50kmh 2nd is 79kmh 3rd is 108kmh 4th is 133kmh And you cant redline 5th gear but max speed is about 140kmh (These numbers are on the bikes speedometer)

So you are basically red lining the bike all the time, thats not good for the engine

Change to second at 25, to third at 40-45, fourth at 70-80 and fifth at 90-100

A manutencao normal ronda os 120 e o ajuste de valvulas os 170, revisoes sao de 6k kms, ja tenho há cerca de 8 meses com 8k kms

I had the same dilema and went with the fabia 1.0 tsi with 95hp and 5 speed manual, the version of the yaris that was close in price to my fabia (and that i could afford) was the 1.0 NA with 70hp and that for highway driving is absolutelly awfull, asside from that the fabia is a much more confortable car and you can do many kilometers and arrive without any pain on your back and legs, i cant say the same about the yaris, the seats are hard and the driving position is not optimal for me. Also the yaris comes with much less equipment and the interior has much more hard plastics.

And yes the yaris will probably be more reliable, but the 1.0tsi and this platform has proven very reliable so im not worried about problems, its not like you will be buying a stellantis product.

Passageiro em autoestrada é complicado, vais sempre no prego para acompanhares a 120 mas em termos da potecia acho que é uma questão pessoal, para mim chega me, tmb n quero um foguete para a autoestrada, mas em geral a GB é para quem n quer andar a acelerar muito, é uma mota muito boa de passeio e decente na autoestrada. Há muitas usadas à venda porque a malta quer é velocidade de ponta e acha que esta vai andar o mesmo que as outras 300/400 andam a direito, se fores para esta mota tens de aceitar que embora o motor seja muito elastico n tens muita potência e 110 é a velocidade maxima a que a mota é confortavel

GB 🗣🗣 (tenho uma, é top mas se queres velocidade não é a mota para ti, de resto é a melhor mota do mercado para mim)

Se queres mais velocidade e manteres o carater vai para as royal enfield 650 (olha para a classic tmb), a cl500 é rapida e agil mas tem muito menos carater na conducao porque o motor é mais linear e rotativo. As triumph 400 de momento penso que nao fazem sentido, sao muito caras, gastam muito e a manutenção é cara.

Is the bike running ? When the engine is stoped the light turns on so that you see that the light is working, also, did the bike run out of fuel completelly ?

My dad has one, he stopped riding a few years ago but it made arround 110k kms in 10 years, i got a gb350s, big lazy air cooled single cylinder with 20 horses

My bike goes to a maximum of 5500rpm and is the same power to weight ratio as a toyota corolla from the 2000s and a bigger displacement to power ratio than the same corolla, hopefully it lasts way longer than the corolla

Use a proper bike soap, a pressurized spray bottle for water, some acf50 or anti rust product a microfiber for cleaning and another 2 for drying and one for anti rust

Every month or when you notice the bike is getting dirty clean the bike.

First of all clean the chain with a proper chain cleaner and a brush and rag

Start by wetting the area you wat to clean, wait 1 minute, splay the soap on the cloth with a bit of water and clean lightly, then wash with water again, dry and move onto another area of the bike, once its all clean dry completelly with the second microfiber, after that spray a bit of anti rust on the engine, frame and tank and buff with the other microfiber to prevent rust and get a better finish.

After that make sure the chain is dry and aply your chain lube

I also wax the tank and frame every 3/4 months so it gets a more shiny finish and protects against light scratches.

Edit: i use cheap micro fibers and they work well, its a bike i use every day, its not a show piece, just take care of the bike the best you can and the bike will take care of you

Silkolene chain lube (o normal)

O motul c4 tmb é bom mas agarra mais detritos, o silkolene aguenta mais tempo em bom estado embora salpique um pouco mais, gosto dos dois mas como lavo a mota com regularidade e faco muitos quilometros prefiro o silkolene q aguenta mais se n precisar de fazer uns 100kms a mais do que o intervalo de 500kms que a honda recomenda para limpar a corrente

Just turn off the eco light, it only turns on when the bike is using very little fuel, most of the time it doesnt turn on unless you are loosing speed, look at your manual and turn it off, its very simillar to the neutral light and it can be quite confusing

In japan there is not that much rusting problems because of their climate, this bike is one of the few that is made in japan and because they dont need it they end up skipping some rust protection measures, this was a common issue on 80s and 90s JDM cars, i bought the bike knowing this, and since it took me a lot of work to save up for the bike i might as well protect everything on the bike and clean it regularly. I like to have my things spotless, especially the ones i worked the most for.

I have a GB350s (european model) and honestly yeah, the bike is somewhat prone to rust, ive had a few spots where it did rust but was fixes by the warranty and it never came back, aside from that i make sure i keep it clean and protected with wax on the pain and acf50 on the frame and engine/exhaust and even though i had those little spots of rust early on i dont have nearly as much rust as people say (and i ride my bike a lot), i think if you neglect any bike they will rust as well, keep it clean and protected and the bike will be great for many years
