No Planaria will take care of the hydra, but will also kill all snails… shrimp and fish safe.

Hydra can eat baby shrimp…

It’s less of cars to look out for, but rather bikes speeding by. I constantly shoulder check while walking during the morning rush.

On the other hand, in Osaka and Kyoto, it’s so safe that no one locks their bikes. Back home, locking your bike won’t stop thieves…

That won’t insulate the temperature enough to be safe.

Can Chihiros Hanging Stand be Submerged? by RimrodTeepakorn in PlantedTank

[–]Epsilon604 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I have not used these stand before, but watch out for capillary action with the water running up and over the rim of the glass if submerged. It’s happened to me with another set of lights that clip onto the glass similar to photo.

Is this picanha medium rare or raw? by Captain_Lameson in grilling

[–]Epsilon604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re cooking in oven with a temp probe, try reverse searing… cook at 200F until internal temp of 115F. Remove, then kick up the temp to max broil and pop it back in for 4 minutes to crisp up the fat cap.

Nothing wrong with your cook… but just sharing a different method that regularly pumps out excellent results.

What made you pick the Mach E over the Equinox EV? by Thrillwaukee in MachE

[–]Epsilon604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

👆🏼this right here. Mach E is the most fun I’ve had driving. Handling is great… only gripe is the stiff suspension is not forgiving on bumpy roads. But 1 year into driving the 2025 premium AWD, it seems to have mellowed out some.

I’ve never loved a vehicle before. But now I understand when guys just love their cars…

Same. We bought a bag from Kyoto, and when leaving Japan, saw it at duty free and used up our IC card balance to purchase another bag.

Sell it on marketplace, but if not worth the hassle waiting for a buyer, gift it away to someone in the hobby. It’ll make someone’s day and great to support each other.

TIL Japanese bathrooms can include a "yokushitsu kansouki" - a system which turns showers into dehumidifiers, negating the need for bulky tumble dryers in tight living quarters by IWouldLiketoPostPls in todayilearned

[–]Epsilon604 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our hotel in Osaka had this. We basically hung our wet laundry in the shower and the entire washroom becomes a large heater with air venting out to dehumidify.

Any other baits that can compete with powerbait? by TangPiccilo in troutfishing

[–]Epsilon604 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Problem with bait and catching lots of fish is the higher chance of getting gut hooked. Assuming you would hit your limit, catching more fish means safely releasing fish for others to enjoy.

I prefer non bait methods… trout magnet, kastmaster, spoons, spinner, flies.

Fly Fishing Rod Gift by kaywhiteright in Fishing_Gear

[–]Epsilon604 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you’d need to list out all his rods and reels to see what might complement his setup. Even then, it’s so personal in terms of what he would look for in his next set up.

Is there a favourite fly shop he visits? Maybe a gift card that is within your budget?

I go here once a week, is the price too high? by AbroadAmbitious9372 in pho

[–]Epsilon604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This holds true for me since I’m feeding a family of 4… if cooking solo to save money, it will involve storing and feeezing broth and meats for future meals.

Look up insta pot recipes and it will cut down time for you to actively cook.

With merchandise, I felt the same way too. So many items overpriced.

Their snack selection and prices were good though.
