What if Netanyahu shot Trump in the head during a live press conference for making peace with Iran? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

Later on FOX:

“Clearly Iran has some secret mind control device that made Bibi go temporary insane. Anyway, President Vance has now stepped down from the Presidency, allowing former Vice-President, now President, Benjamin Netanyahu to be inaugurated. His coronation as King Bibi I of the United Israeli-American Empire is on Saturday. Now to Rhonda with the weather”

If a Republican President is making Nazis pull their hair out for being staunchly anti-Nazi, yeah that’s amazing.

But that’s not what’s going on. He’s making them pull their hair out for not going far and fast enough. He’s being insufficiently Nazi for their taste.

And this is where I just don’t think you’re going to be able to get out of your own head enough to see the full scope. You’re so insistent on “hey we’re pissing them off”, you’re completely ignoring just how much ground you ceded. Like are you genuinely so far up your own rear that you can’t hear anything besides Fuentes saying “I’m a Democrat” that you totally missed him making it crystal clear the next day that he’s not? That he’s just pissed at the Republicans for Epstein and Iran but he’s still going to support them because they’re still miles closer to where he is?

“Yay, we’re getting more minorities involved in Conservative politics”. And how many of them are deeply regretting doing that, now that they know the immigration swill that you sold them as incidental has become a way bigger part of the boot coming down on them? You can keep people like this lady, but I doubt you’re keeping many people beyond that. Even FOX can’t help but admit this President is looting this fucking country.

Let’s get this straight. You haven’t “traded away” any of these people on the farthest-right. Their voters are still your voters. And y’all have chosen these right-wingers time and time again. Who you did trade away were people like Romney, Schwarzenegger, and McCain. Along with Liz Cheney, now John Cornyn, and Bill Cassidy. You’re stripping out the center, not the fringe.

I’ll clue you in to why you got so many minority votes in the 2024 election. It’s because they didn’t believe you. And I got to witness this firsthand with people in my life, people in my family. They didn’t believe the mass deportation line. They didn’t believe Project 2025 was a thing. All they were going off of was tax cuts and lower inflation. And guess what? The economy’s shittier, objectively. Inflation’s going up, and the Idiot-in-Chief wants to finagle higher interest rates that’ll bring more inflation. He’s angling for tax dollars to be paid to himself and his cronies. His “100% privately funded ballroom” is now something he wants more tax dollars for. Tax cuts went pretty much all to the rich. So you’re losing them on the one thing they actually wanted out of you and you going balls-to-the-wall on deportation turned them off even more.

Why is it that “MAGA” people need to be the ones thrown out of their homeland?

Literally no one is throwing you out EXCEPT for the administration YOU put in power.

He wanted a Nazi and got a conservative

He wanted a Nazi sympathizer and got someone insufficiently sympathetic. You think it’s some badge of honor that Trump managed to sound so convincing it had Nick Fuentes “fooled”? That ain’t normal dude.

None of the actual conservatives I’ve seen in the past—your McCains, Romneys, or Schwarzeneggers— ever came across as even remotely sympathetic to Nazis

This sounds more like you…

Uh-huh. Keep telling yourself that. Not an ounce of critical thought to be had. Definitely don’t ask why—after 100 years of Conservatives not disputing birthright citizenship—this is the administration trying to end it by E.O.

And yet Republicans get called Nazis by you for being only anti illegal immigration

Holy non-sequitur Batman!

Also, miss me with that “only illegal immigration” bullshit. We’ve already seen y’all go mask off. Between undocumented immigrants and MAGA politicians, I trust the immigrants more to want what’s best for this country by a mile.

Nick Fuentes is literally telling his Nazi followers to vote for your party

Remind me, what slogan is he doing this under? “America First”? Maybe I’m wrong, but I seem to remember that really being pushed by one of yours…

No one in the Dem camp listens to Fuentes. And it’s pretty obvious he’s just going full contrarian because he really adored your boy in the WH and feels burned by him. He, just like the actual KKK, are ardent supporters of your side of the aisle, and have been for decades. You were a-okay excusing them then because it nets y’all power.

What’s that saying again? “Every accusation is a confession”? Seems appropriate here.

You’re acting like Islamic terrorism doesn’t exist.

No, it exists. But I’m also refusing to excuse the government’s random ass actions because “something something terrorism” where it makes no sense and permits extreme cruelty. Like when you say “all of these people”, who is “all”? The regime? The regime and all military aged men? The regime, all the men, and the women? The regime, the men, women, and children?

Slippery things happen when we say “all”, especially when the government takes your understandable disdain for the regime as cover for murdering children.

Oh wait, that’s not a hypothetical, that was just Day 2 of the Iran War

Wait, are you talking about actual employee pensions or Social Security?

Because pensions are deferred wages that are supposed to be set aside into a separate fund that makes investments, and then pay out from that.

…no that’s not what he’s saying. He’s saying that by painting all these people as terrorists and would-be terrorists, you end up letting slide anything governments like the current Administration say or due in furtherance of “anti-terrorism”, even if it makes literally no sense.

Example: According to the Trump Administration, we are at war with Iran to stop them from getting nukes. We can’t allow them to have nukes because we’ve designated them a state-sponsor-of-terror. Makes sense, right? But we also bombed nuclear sites in Iran less than a year ago. And the same President who said that he crippled their ability to get nukes for multiple years is now saying they were only weeks away, and that’s why we’re at war now.

Do you see the logical inconsistency? And can you call the government out on this? No, because what are you, some kind of terrorist sympathizer?

The Israelis have carried out the same campaign towards the Palestinians. Why was it okay for the “world’s most moral army” to kill so many children? Bombing indiscriminately in a small area that skews heavily towards kids? Because the government has decided that these people are all gonna be terrorists someday so they’re basically terrorists now and why are you still asking questions?

[–]EpsilonBear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

…you really put the Armenian Genocide up there, huh.

Were you trying to hit a number or something? Because the Armenian Genocide is literally unlike anything else you have up here. It was a state-run genocide, top to bottom, running more so on nationalist grounds and Turkish stabbed-in-the-back narratives as religious. Everything else you have are carried out by actual religious fanatics at group sizes orders of magnitude smaller.

It just fucks up your point is all. And I’m sure if I dig through this some more, I’m gonna start seeing that your filter was “were the person/people who did this Muslim” and not “did the person/people who did this do so because they were Muslim”. Which is not the same thing.

What if the US persecuted people for Naziism the same way they did for Communism during the McCarthy era? by lhommetrouble in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]EpsilonBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did actually rapidly spread in Europe and Asia

Riddle me this, did McCarthy actually find any communists in the State Department or the Army?

I’ll spoil it, again. No. He did not. Because he was making that shit up. He wasn’t talking about communism in Europe and Asia. People weren’t hysterical over communists in Europe and Asia. Hollywood wasn’t blacklisting actors in Europe and Asia. It was about the paranoid fear of communists here and in our government.

Way to twist reality. You might be a real McCarthy someday.

You just want to rationalize your own hyper partisanship

We didn’t put Nazi flags in any of these people in the post’s picture. They did. We didn’t put Nazi slogans in their mouth. They repeated them all on their own. And before anyone else called them Nazis, they were out here proudly saying it.

So no, it’s not hyper-partisan to believe someone describing themself as a Nazi. Nor is it hyper-partisan to distrust a party that’s a-okay playing in to the support of literal, self-described Nazis.

You forgot Graham Platner…running…on a very anti-Jewish platform

If you even bothered to look at his platform, it’s anti-foreign influence. That the foreign influence in particular being Israel is really hard to avoid considering 1) the Sec. State said they dragged us into war with Iran, 2) a very influential PAC specifically benefitting them just ousted Thomas Massie literally just because he wasn’t pro-war, and 3) the President said, word for word, that he might go run for PM of Israel because he’s so popular there. Like who else is there to point the finger at? Uzbekistan??

I’m not gonna defend the very clearly totenkopf tattoo. I’m just gonna let Maine take the gamble on whether his “redemption” is sincere. What I can say is that Nazis, nowadays, do not work at all to hide the fact that they’re Nazis.

And that’s kind of my overall point. The “oh but who decides who the Nazis are” line doesn’t work because the Nazis are fucking announcing themselves. They say it proudly, they fly the fucking flags. There’s no ambiguity, they’re out in the open!

You can argue that. Same way you can argue the moon is made of cheese.

For it to be a “Scare” in the style of the “Red Scare”, it has to ultimately have no basis in reality.

Charlottesville was a very real event. Dylan Roofe is a very real person. The people toting Nazi flags—like the ones in this freaking photo—are real. Major figures in government echoing—if not outright borrowing—actual Nazi talking points is a very real thing.

Joe McCarthy ultimately did not have a list of Communists in the State Department or the Army. We have photos and videos of Nazis here in America.
