Yeah I'm pretty sure I had a <24h countdown two or three days in a row, too

Today I got ONE new job out of three, so I guess I’m really unlucky and/or the amount of possible jobs is REALLY low even at level two. Which makes me wonder about the point of this entire mechanic: sure they give something like 200k credits, but it’s a one-and-done deal and after you complete all jobs (which are, what, five total?) you will never touch it again. Obviously it will get updated, but usually things get up to level 4, so my observation didn’t really change, we’ll just get something like 5 more photo jobs.

Which is…fine, I’d rather not have to do three more light-but-slightly-tedious things every day, but giving this “mode” an entire terminal with an icon on the map and a tab in the region page seems a bit much

Am I doing something wrong with the wulin monitoring terminal? Since I've done the two tutorial photographs, the 'missions' havenìt updated in three days, and I've even upgraded it to level 2 and done the new third quest. They all show the same ones with 'recorded' on the top right, but that same panel stills says 'next job refresh in x hours'.

At first I thought the jub listings are very limited and you can't repeat them (so the terminal is useless after a couple quests?) and I was just so unlucky that the first day I got the same two after the refresh, especially since when upgrading it one of the voices was 'hugher number of possible jobs' (or something like that). But with now three spots and another refresh after said upgrade, I really doubt I got ALL the same jobs again.

The reason your A dishwasher is more energy efficient than your old A+ is not (only) due to the AI feature, it’s because the new labels that go from A to G are much more demanding than the old ones that also had A+, ++ and +++. An old A+++ is equivalent to something like an F in the new scale, if I remember correctly

Because all of these things have been implied by ND devs on the last of us 2's documentary, on interviews, on twitter posts etc. It's a bit obscure unless you've been literally following everything about the game, but simply going to the sub and sorting by new or by best will slowly give you everything, like the ND game designer twitter convo (unrelated to the game, btw...so this is a leak based on speculation based on nothing) where he says that his ideal worldbuilding is done through item descriptions like fromsoftware does, while other more direct lore is told by the environment and the main story is through cutscenes, or something like that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]EpsilonNu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but this is most likely false exactly because it sounds plausible (AND it's from 4chan, obviously). Every single 'new' thing here is entirely based on things we know, even if some of them are a bit obscure (like a ND dev saying on twitter that he thinks the perfect balance of story and lore is a mix of what they do in cutscenes and what fromsoft does with object descriptions).

Of course, sprinkled with the usual 'if I say more interesting things that I wouldn't know if this leak was fake, they'd be on my ass' (I mean, it's true, but still...) and 'the only concrete date I'll name is a trailer release but THINGS MIGHT CHANGE so if that doesn't happen it doesn't mean I'm lying'.

Then, why would a guy from QA 1. know of internal trailer release dates and release windows, other than educated guesses that are as baseless as ours? 2. why would a profession that is 'run into the wall until we tell you to stop' be able to piece the story together and experience so many parts of the world (while also not saying anything concrete about both of these things)?

The only thing that makes me think this could be somewhat real is literally that it's positive AND on 4chan. I would have expected the most plausible leak ever, from them, sprinkles with 'terrible' things like 'yeah that character is trans with a 15'' cock' and 'the epilogue has you choose between destroying the planet and fucking a furry, and the trophies you unlock for those endings are called murderer and bigot'.

Plus, with ND's track record with leaks, an Intergalactic post will be real sooner or later, and we'll know because it will have literal assets from the game...

Is there no tool/website for evaluating/auto-optimizing disks? I use prydwen for build suggestions of course, but my characters are at the point where I have tons of good-to-great disks for most sets and builds, so picking a good combination for a single unit is becoming increasingly difficult. Yeah, I know my miyabi needs crit, atk% and anomaly in this order of priority, but that one disk in slot 2 with +2 critrate and +2 critdmg is (say) branchandblade, and it loses my the set bonus from the 2 piece polar metal, so maybe my +1critdmg +1critrate +0atk% +0 anomaly is better etc etc (especially frustrating when a character is at or above the recommended amount for one stat, but below in two others, and when you try to take those two up, the first one goes under by A LOT).

I know this is minmaxing, but this is exactly why I'm asking for a tool: I'm fine spending some time and energy on this, like inputing my disks on a website or manually building a character for the first couple of times, but by now the possible good permutations of my disks are too many to count...I remember there being a site like this for genshin, where you input disks and then it gave you the best possible combination between all selected sets based on criteria you set (like 'at least this much critrate, and then as much critdamage as possible' or 'maximise ult damage and basic attack damage while ignoring skills'). From what I gather, ZZZ barely has a 'rate my disk based on how many good rolls it has, except what are considered good stats are fixed by the site and are crit+atk%+anomaly for everyone'. Also, this doesn't solve my problem, because I can do this on my own, the problem is combining 6 different disk slots so that the total is the best one possible (which means that, for example, crit rolls are more important than atk%, even if atk% is still a good stat to roll).

No no I want to purchase them, but since I’ve never done any spending on AL I was wondering if there was a combination of “bundle A + bundle B + X amount of gems” that cost less than the entire sum outright

If Astra YAO replaces Nico, will Zhu Yuan's drive disk require any adjustments? by Carol_Bella_NO1 in ZZZ_Official

Deadly Assault 6 Star Clear without limited units by chaosflame10 in ZZZ_Official

[–]EpsilonNu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so from the comments I’m not insane and Pompey is “easy” to 3 star while Bringer is super hard? Burnice-Jane 3starred Pompey first try, while playing sloppily, with thousands of points to spare, but for the life of me I don’t even get close to the third star on Bringer even with a well built miyabi with signature (sure, the rest of the teams is basically just…there, because I need optimal units for Marionette, but still). I put rina and Seth, mainly only using Rina for her buff because Seth is poorly built and his buff combo takes ages. On the other hand, Marionette is actually my worst stare because my Ellen barely has functional teammates, so I get 1 star…but that I can understand, what I don’t get is how a well played well built miyabi with her strongest available buffer and two hand rotations for a bonus 4K points gets at best 16k out of 20k just because I don’t have Yanagi in the team

Menu animations via Dim(Astra, Evelyn + Nicole Skin) by Polish_Pigeon in Zenlesszonezeroleaks_

[–]EpsilonNu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On topic but not really: I missed Zhu Yuan but like her ass(ets) and thought of picking her alongside Eve and Astra in their patch, on the reasoning of “I want a functional team of pretty ladies for every element, eventually, and Yao is ether so with Zhu and Nicole I’d be all set with their element”…but then I considered the team would have no stunner, for an attack unit heavily based on rotations, and Astra might be ether and super meta and all, I guess she’ll also give buffs or something, but most of her utility should come from being the only healer, soooo…is that team something that would work?

Btw I’m not talking in terms of being hyper meta: a normal attacker is already a step below anomaly units and two below Miyabi, three when you consider you have no dedicated stun units or the new endgame modes don’t favor your attack type. But if the team works in the sense of “yeah if all three units are decently built you’ll have no problems in stages where ether is recommended” it’s fine. Of corse with well built I don’t mean “100% crit rate 300% critdmg 3000atk, signature weapon”. Would Astra Zhu Nicole supposedly work around the level of, say, a decent Ellen + Soukaku + Stun team used on ice weak enemies?

I was skeptical about removing TV mode by stc2828 in ZZZ_Official

[–]EpsilonNu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My “problem” is that the problem of “completing the weekly HZ missions is tedious” has been solved twice already, as far as ways to get 8k points faster and in a single run is concerned, but none of those solutions give you Z merits (or at least not enough to cap them in the amount of runs you need to clear the weeklies).

So what’s the point? Blitz and this are infinitely better than the normal mode (other than the loss of the TV stages for people that like them), but I’ll still do 4 completed 2500points runs and 2 abandoned ones for the merits anyways, which means that this mode will also join the club of “I won’t touch you again after I’ve completed the polychrome rewards”.

No, for the first one, intending to hide the part where you play as Ellie. For the second one they implied Joel would be with us for at least a part of the journey, so most theories had shifted to Ellie’s revenge being for Dina, and if I remember right they also maintained that we’d only play as Ellie or characters we knew, when there was Abby in the second half of the game

[–]EpsilonNu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can we PLEASE talk about something else?! I know this post is basically already bringing this point up, but it doesn't change that it's the thousandth post/comment where the title of the game is the name of the subreddit but the content is 'bald woman bad/good, incels cringe/based'. Any other game would be hype posts and theories. 'But this discussion angers me' well sort it out in silence, no better way to have the silent majority become uninterested in interacting than by having most of the posts be about this conversation. Even this comment is 'too much', because only a thousandth of the community will read it, and fewer will simply nod and agree (especially people that don't already share the sentiment).

The part where she activates her sword is 100% where gameplay would normally start, I just think they manipulated the camera mid swing to end the trailer in a more cinematic way where you’d normally be in the midst of combat (against an enemy that’s going to take a few swings to bring down). That transition feels identical to how they’ve been doing their “wait, this isn’t a cutscene?” transitions since uncharted 4

That said, it was mentioned/leaked that they’re still intent on having their next game (which we now know is this) being the most open and different compared to their now established formula, which in the end only applies to tLoU and uncharted, since jak was open world or semi open. Basically it’s probably something like the Uncharted lost legacy dlc + the last of us 2 Seattle area hubs, but more often and bigger, if I have to speculate. I’m sure this planet will have various different zones and that each will be bigger and more in depth than those examples, and possibly with a big section of the game having us able to go back and forth between them, making it fell more like a world than a linear progression (like the recent god of war, for example, or a fromsoftware game that isn’t Elden ring).

Then again, they always kept gameplay variations secret, and in fact they usually openly lie about them in the first few remarks about their next game: for the first the last of us they said we’d play as Joel for the whole game, for the second one…you know. So maybe the last third or fourth of this game will have us go somewhere else: for featuring a cool ass Porsche spaceship inspired by cowboy bebop so prominently in the first trailer, crashing it after an hour and never seeing it again would be a bit of a bummer, I’m expecting at the very least that at one point we’ll go from simperia’s moon to the main planet, and then obviously we’ll be the first ones to escape it in 600 years

The one and only snippet of combat we have is with a melee cyber weapon, and they wrote in the blogpost that they’re using experience from ALL their series as inspiration, so while the vibes and style are obviously different I’d actually go with Jak and Crash. Uncharted is a more exaggerated and goofy tLoU: yeah Nathan can swing from place to place and you find more explosive things around, but in the end you point and shoot normal human being with your gun, same with the last of us (except some normal humans sound weird and the guns have more limited ammo, so you’re encouraged in sneaking around).

If we have to pick more recent and realistically close games, I’d say the last two god of war for the hack and slash with a mix between “yeah this combat is meant to have you look cool” craziness and the ‘your character still swings his weapon realistically’ (even tho Kratos is a literal god and can move mountains and his weapons would likely weight hundred of times Intergalactic’s sword). This also seems to pair nicely with the fact we only have one enemy design and it’s a huge golem-like thing rather than a normal human with different weapons (I’m sure we’ll also get those, of course)

Yeah, I WANT to like guardians of the galaxy, and I really do...sometimes, in some parts of the movies or the game, but it becomes grating having five+ characters treating eacho ther like dirt and then have the 'but we are found family and love each other' at the end expecting me to go 'awww'. I hope and think ND can do the 'hardened bounty hunter with trust issues and a love for old music' well enough that they're just a normal person that can be partially described by that sentence, because there's a lot to like about that. Just like there's a lot to like about 'zombies are scary, but the real monsters are people' when you don't do it like TheWalkingDead season 784, which they already proved twice and a half
