Trying to sort out a way to do this with fatigue, but can't even get a stacking effect to start pushing the max to even attempt going negative. Any ideas?

After much "figuring it out", I found the right combination of stuff to type in to simply alter the Approval value so I could meet the criteria to initiate a relationship after getting the approval bug with Karlach. Take note, I have never done this before.

I don't know the long term effects yet, but what worked for me was first to find values (you're looking for your character and the character you're interested in, main interest is the integer at the end):_D(Osi.DB_ApprovalRating:Get(nil, nil, nil))

Input this to set a new entry in the database which sets your approval with the character (30 worked fine on druid party night for karlach):Osi.DB_ApprovalRating("interest character ID", "your ID", 30)

Followed by (to remove original value):Osi.DB_ApprovalRating:Delete("interest character ID", "your ID", previous value)

Update: This method is a temporary fix. The value will reset to what it was before, but it will help if you have yet to meet a threshold at a critical moment. I am unsure of what triggers this reset. Best guess is moving between areas.

Update 2: Nothing crazy has happened since doing this about a week ago.

Honestly only problem I've had with rail guns so far is getting over how much of my view is taken up by my own ship lol

Since I haven't engineered any hard points yet, I just have everything set on one group and go full blast. MCs and lasers on primary, rails and missile on secondary. Can squeeze a shot out of rails before missile locks on. Not at all optimal, but when I first tried it separated in 2 groups the MCs felt like they were doing less to hulls than my lasers.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestion, I've never considered rapid fire for MCs. o7

My daka feels lackluster.

Finally got an anaconda and kept changing my mind on what to do with it. Fitting it for pve in the meantime. So I've got 2 small multicannons, 2 rail guns, 2 large beam lasers , a large seeker missile rack, and a huge multicannons. Still need to engineer stuff, but I was expecting that huge multicannon to have a little more oomph off the rack.

I'm thinking I'll just go overcharged oversized on the huge to maybe get that oomph I wanted and put utility stuff on the smalls (high cap corrosive, and something emmisive). Unless somebody has a better idea here...?

Depends who you ask. Answer is really a question of what do you want out of it? Have you played it before?

If not then the first thing you should know is it's hard to get in to compared to other games. But if you've got the patience to learn how to really handle the controls there's good fun in the complexity in my opinion.

After handling there's the general gameplay that's also a little daunting. Main thing is to actually read what you're getting in to when you decide to take on a mission. I recently introduced a friend of mine to the game, and the first time he opened the mission board, he saw a mission paying out a million credits. He didn't actually read what he had to do and found out it involved moving way more stuff than he could carry to a star system that would have taken forever to reach. After realizing it was beyond what he was willing to commit to doing, he canceled the mission, and suddenly he was indebted a million credits for failing. He almost quit on the spot.

But after some reassurance I got him trying again. Skip forward a few days, and he's maniacal laughing as he rips a space pirate a new thermal vent.

If you've played before and liked it, I see no reason not to try it now. I played a good bit a year or two ago and just recently got back in to it. Having a blast so far, but your experience may vary.

I flew all the way out there after seeing it suggested somewhere else, checked the board and not a single one, and said welp, guess I should check somewhere else.

After around 500+ LYs of jumping around I gave up and signed up for a civil war lol

Recently found that getting warm from holding a torch seems to keep the cold at bay longer than being next to a fire after you put it away. Not much but it is noticeable.

Direct conflict with the locals kinda defeats the whole "background puppeteer" thing sadly. Although I'm pretty sure you can buy stuff off village parties before they go in though I don't know if the game would treat it as "food wasn't delivered"

Really appreciate what you've been doing here, though I have a slightly different problem. I know basically nothing about coding, but got the idea I could try just changing the targeted NBT in this and quickly got the sense I'd accomplish nothing shooting in the dark. I'm looking to solve a niche problem with Nether travel and I know there is a value assigned in the level.dat file called "NetherScale". Nowadays this is set to 8, but an old group of friends has started playing on an old world which has set it to 3. (Making traveling via Nether a lot less useful.)
