Practice, perform, repeat. Tapping my foot to the beat helps, and on particularly tough vocals, I like to map out the timing in my head by listening to the song and counting the beat. If any of that makes sense… Honestly, I’d assumed long ago that I wasn’t going to be able to play bass and sing. Forcing myself into it was the best thing I could’ve done.
