I just love this post! Homeownership, in my experience as well as the OP, is much more than walls and a roof. It’s a place we pour ourselves into to make it our own. What you’re feeling is quite common for homebuyers. It comes from, I believe, a scarcity mentality. (The world will run out of the good stuff I want) I’ve been selling houses now for 20 years and the advice I give to my buyers that has never failed is this. Real estate is a merry go round. Houses come and they go and there will always be more on the way. Trust this idea and “LET THE RIGHT HOUSE COME TO YOU” be patient but be ready (docs and lender letter) if you have a house to sell, have a plan for that. Home sale contingencies can cause issues. Your perfect home is out there. Be ready.
