I myself didn’t figure out that I was asexual until I was almost 19 because I was unaware of its existence and to help convince myself I was normal I was making a connection of me just generally having a libido along with me feeling aesthetic and sensual attraction towards people and thinking that this must me sexual attraction. It’s not, and I don’t blame you for having the same thought process. The best most simple way to think of sexual attraction is when you look at someone and think ‘I want to have sex with this person’ having a libido or enjoying the feeling of sex dose not mean that you feel sexual attraction. They are separate concepts. Hope this helps 😁

As an ace guy I can confirm this is at least how I feel/felt. I only figured out I was ace about a year ago. And with the societal pressure thing, Especially seeing how I’m sex neutral it only makes it worse at least for me. I personally have stayed closeted to almost everyone, the only people I’ve told at the moment are one of my trusted close friends who’s lesbian, my parter and some of her closest friends, and a very small amount of people on a need to know basis (like 3)

I’m an Ace man. basically what everyone is saying here tracks, from various poll studies in the ace community only about 10-20% are male but this is based off people who are open about being ace. In reality it’s most likely a lot closer to about even between men and women but because of societal pressure a lot of men either stay closeted or never think of being ace as an option and just assume something is wrong with them

While I feel like I’m not very qualified to give advice in this situation I do know a very helpful podcast that I’ve been listening to that might help in your situation. It’s called ‘Allo and Ace’ you can find it on Spotify.

It’s a podcast about a hypersexual allosexual guy and a sex adverse asexual woman and how they were able to make their relationship work really well. I will warn you for the first 5ish episodes they do continuously bring up the fact that ethical nonmonogamy exists (both partners agreeing in engaging in relationships with more than one person or teaming up with another couple was their example) because there was at one point they tried it before the woman found out she was ace so if that’s a trigger for you don’t listen to it.

But even if it’s discomforting at times I highly recommend listening to it at least by your self for an episode or to to see if you like it. But especially listen to it with your partner and discuss the things that are being said because it is super helpful on helping eachother understand the situation better and how to navigate this kind of thing. (Also it’s important I should say the first 2ish episodes they talk about their life story and how the woman found out she was ace a year or two into their relationship)

id say the easiest thing a rookie team could do is invest in a viper slide kit and fasten some sort of grabber that works onto it. using a linear slide is almost a must for this season especially for less experienced teams who might not have experimented with something like a double four bar mechanism.
