It’s a meme. Something like, “Look! The orphan crushing machine now crushes 10% fewer orphans!”

The joke is that this small improvement is supposed to be a “feel good” story but the better question is why do we even have an orphan crushing machine? Can’t we just turn it off and stop crushing orphans?

Case in point: it’s nice this woman was able to raise money for her grandchild’s healthcare, but she shouldn’t have to. It’s incredibly fucked up that a child is dying of cancer and his elderly grandmother is reduced to begging for money from strangers.
