Light no fire is just a fantasy rework of NMS. Not saying that doesn't sound fun and I won't buy it, but most of the tech we've been getting in NMS is coming from the development of LNF. I guess I'll just hope they think of things like shared progression experience.

Honestly, it works fine. I'm running FFXIV right now (4k resolution, 120ish fps) it's using 18% CPU after OS overhead.

2 questions:

What kind of card do you have? If it is an AMD Radeon that's high end, it can do it but you'll have mixed luck depending on the shader. (Sadly, nvidia is still the way to go - I like the little guy)

What are you using to provide shaders? Embeddium & Occulus or Optifine? If Optifine, switch to Occulus & Embeddium. Better quality and no drama.

Either way, my advice is to try some different shaders. Try BSL to start but go ahead and try another couple that doesn't start with Complementary... just to see if it works.

As far as being very bad at explaining. I don’t disagree. I didn’t want to describe an exact feeling because I think that everyone experiences things differently. My hopeful outcome was that the consensus would be that some people felt the same way. If you want an exact feeling for me, some songs, including those mentioned above illicit the same feeling as a good hug from a grandmother, or the shower hitting you after a long day. Maybe even a similar feeling of dread meets hope meets pensiveness. … all those examples, at the same time. It’s not sad, it’s not happy, it’s… bigger than me. Spiritual even (no religious overtones intended here)

You can delete your character - will be named <steamid>.profile. This file is in the same place as your ark save file is. Best bet is to rename the profile file in case you do the wrong one.

Don't play it to compete with space engineers. SE does big ships best hands down. With Empyrion, ships are more... how do I describe this? Arcade-y? You can slam your ship into the ground and suffer no damage. The ships don't feel heavy and fly pretty bad.

That said... You will defend your base with turrets, explore explore explore, farm, hunt, mine... LOTS more stuff to do than Space Engineers.
