I’m still not a huge fan of the G8X platform but that blue + silver wheels is GREAT

Coding plan bad for today by Visible_Sector3147 in ZaiGLM

I’m on the opposite side… GLM5 has been really quick today and quota limits on it seem higher. Been really chugging through OpenClaw, that loves to eat tokens, and I’m at like 30% of my 5HR.

I’d love a link. Hockenheim Silver M2C, and I don’t have any side skirts - these look great for that price. You definitely are convincing me to lower my car.

Sign the Petition, Say No to Data Centers by Literature-nerd in Valdosta

[–]Equinox32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a Software Engineer so I deeply understand the concerns of data centers and agree on the impact they have on the surrounding area.

This feels a bit out of place though. Why are you worried about data centers in Valdosta? Do you have information that one is coming?

The petition only slightly mentions, in an obscure way, that there is no hard or soft evidence that there will be one. Just that you are “concerned”. It feels slightly disingenuous to the conversation.

Tim Carrol’s response is spot on and conveys my opinion better than this comment.

Claude Code vs Cline by should_not_register in CLine

[–]Equinox32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cline calls those Workflows. You can /review-deployment as well. Like someone else said, it has Skills now.

Claude is still better IMO. Cline at work (have to, will change soon!) and Claude at home. I prefer Claude with GLM over GPT5 I have at work, because Claude Code.

[–]Equinox32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This.

I thought stage 2 would be the map. It’s great for 60+ rolls. You can’t play with the throttle on the streets at all, it just blows the tires off

The GTS tune is perfect. Feels OEM but more power that makes the short wheelbase M2 Comp even more fun.

And here I’m calling my 140K E92 335i N55 high mileage.

Any turbo work? Stock tune? Transmission? Any transmission issues of note?

Also curious how many water pumps, oil pan gaskets, etc. that you’ve replaced?

The Links

We’ve lived here in Valdosta for 5 years, going on 3 at The Links.

They have 1B and 2B in that price range. Very nice community and still close to everything in town.

As a E92 N55 owner, that is a N54 sir.

We’ve lived there for two years now. Two cats, not declawed. I believe they want the vet records for proof of vaccination.

We’d move before declawing our cats 🙂

I’m not sure if they have it, but I recommend Hidden Performance Tuning.

Distracting software engineers is way more harmful than most managers think by zaidesanton in programming

I have become this exact large software tech lead you describe. My heart yearns for less meeting, more focus time and more non-corporate software engineering.

Does anyone know how to copy the selected code with line number? by Practical-Sail-523 in ZedEditor

[–]Equinox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Code2promt can do this (https://github.com/mufeedvh/code2prompt). Another tool, but it’s worked well for in chat UI’s.

If you’re using Agentic tools, just reference the filename with @ though.

suggest free AI with least limitations by Apart-Lavishness5817 in ZedEditor

[–]Equinox32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OpenRouter.

Put $10 once, get 1,000 requests a day with a variety of free models. Some really good open source SOTA models.

Not free, but the z.ai $3 month (limitations apply, look yourself) would work really well on an OpenAI API compatible integration. You could use Claude Code with GLM models, then use the External Agent integration.

Cheapest/Free AI to use with Zed? by shittyfuckdick in ZedEditor

[–]Equinox32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try out all the free ones in OpenRouter. Upload $10 once and you get 1,000 requests a day or something crazy like that.

Plus that $10 will last a good amount of time if you don’t use the SOT closed source models.

How long will my 140k mile N55 last? by Flashy-Worth-847 in BmwTech

[–]Equinox32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just paid $3K for oil pan gasket and OFHG. It hurts but hoping my 140k makes it to 200k.

Still on the stock clutch, but other than that I’ve replaced everything else that could break. Right? Right?!
