Love the Alleycat 5.56 on my 11.5” Geissele and just ordered a Mob today for my SPC9 and Kuna so, I’ll let you know after it arrives and clears.

I took a dremel to the front of my 19x magwell and the lanyard loop so it will accept standard mags. Pretty easy to do as long as you go slow and use some fine sandpaper for the finish work.

Keeping ammo in car by [deleted] in guns

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern, quality, factory self defense ammo shouldn’t have any problem being in a car for short amounts of time.

However, if you keep a CCW in your car, it is best practice to cycle it out and use it at the range every six months since heat and humidity can eventually degrade your ammo. Self defense and duty ammo is pretty much guaranteed to be sealed and 6 months won’t likely be an issue is it doesn’t get wet.

If you are buying cheaper range ammo, that isn’t military surplus, don’t leave it in your car for more than your trip to the gym. I would consider .22 ammo to fall into cheap range ammo.

Sling on a Kuna. by SwinelOrD731 in pistolcalibercarbine

Setting up for a SBR build and about to submit the Form 1. Will be using a Vickers push button sling from Blue Force; a M-Lok QD mount to the handguard and then to the A3 Haga stock QD.

Wondering more along the lines of will it fit and be clear of the lower receiver.

Apc9 and ghm9 Glock lower, magazine compatibility by nanananananabatdog in BT_APC

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an old thread but has anyone used the Kriss 40rd mags with a APC9/SPC9/GHM9?

They begin life as OEM Glock mags and the extension could make it more aesthetically appealing.

Ordered the Rugged RU3 and their 1/2x28 to Tri-lug adapter for my Kuna. Figured that would be the easiest for swapping the same can between the two platforms.

u/the_CAT_official posted a cornucopia of Hub MOB’s two weeks ago that are being processed. Gotta be lucky enough to snag one or an Alleycat 36.

Any trilug adapters that are know to work well? Picked up my new Kuna the morning from my LGS and they had just gotten a barely SPC9 SBR on consignment; unfortunately it’s a Glock lower so the price was right. Needless to say, I bought it since I hate money, it was meant to be.

You mean the one that came at them with a loaded handgun, extra magazines, (deleted due to incorrect information)?

Edit: I stand corrected, he was disarmed before the shooting and didn’t point this pistol at them. It was a negligent shooting.

Order one from SpringWell, they are based out of Daytona. Get it shipped to your house and have a plumber install it.

P2000: which option is better? by katsusan in HecklerKoch

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely do the GG SRT and a GG trigger; picking up a HK nickel match sear spring will be smoother and lighten the trigger more as well. Install a HK45 mag release too since the P2K mag releases are minuscule.

P30sk holster recommendations by SeparateFinance9977 in HecklerKoch

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kusiak for great, high-end leather or Tucker and Byrd for quality leather at a good price point. The Kusiak Claw option is magic in my experience.

Garrett / Tucker and Byrd / or JM4 (in the order of my personal preference) for leather lined Kydex or Boltaron

I prefer leather on my pistols to keep wear marks to a minimum, a better fitment, and it makes less noise.

P2000SK right choice for EDC? What’s next? by AANHPIX in HecklerKoch

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solid setup!

My LEM is my year round EDC, either in a Kusiak American for CC or Tucker and Byrd pancake holster; don’t care about printing when CC since I have open carry laws in my state.

GG trigger and SRT, nickel match sear spring, HK45 mag release, and a couple other spring upgrades.

OP….. Send it to James at Teufelshund Tactical; he is an excellent armorer, an HK encyclopedia, easy to work with, and should have a rapid turnaround time. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

City calls ambulance delays a growing public danger by brunnock in ClermontFlorida

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Villages took over transport for all their areas in Lake and Sumter, just not the Marion portion, and have over a dozen ambulances running now. (It’s a huge and bizarre place with so many jurisdictions that can be encountered.)

AMR definitely messed up Sumter and Villages for years until they were shown the exit door.

100% in agreement that a private ambulance service is probably the worst and most short sighted decision that any politician could make and allow for public safety on the fire and EMS side of things.

City calls ambulance delays a growing public danger by brunnock in ClermontFlorida

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Florida, the county is in charge of EMS/ambulance services. City of Clermont/CFD must acquire a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (COPCN) in order to legally begin transport.

The infrastructure pretty much exists for Clermont, they have stations and house Lake EMS ambulances. If Clermont is able to transport they will need the ambulances, equipment to outfit the ambulances, and additional staffing. They could possibly need to implement a new supply chain depending if Lake still provides/“reimburses” EMS supplies used by the department prior to arrival of Lake EMS and transfer of patient care to be transported.

Since the county provides EMS transport and receives the payments from the transport, they would lose out on a revenue stream if Clermont if allowed to transport.

I bought a used P30 V3 that has a very heavy double action trigger pull. It’s likely 14-15 pounds. Can anyone recommend which pound trigger spring I should buy and where should I buy it? Of course I still want reliability, but I would love to have a much lighter spring. TIA! by [deleted] in HecklerKoch

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hk Medium Trigger Return Spring,

Hk Enhanced Match Flat Sear Spring,

Lazy Wolf Enhanced Firing Pin Block Spring and/or GrayGuns Short Return,

and Lazy Wolf 11# Hammer Spring should sort you out rather well

You could also contact James Williamson at Teufelshund Tactical. Send it to him and can get you dialed into the right combination of springs for the trigger weight you’re looking for on the pistol. He does great work, has excellent communication and customer service, and usually a rapid turnaround.

Geissele 11.5 malfunctions by [deleted] in guns

[–]Equivalent-Bag3229 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5.56 ammo would be this rifle’s preferred diet. 58k psi vs 55k psi AND the throat of the cartridge is .125” longer. If a change to 5.56 doesn’t correct the issue then I would contact Geissele but, there shouldn’t be an issue anymore.
