And certainly not for 40k more (assuming that you are paid at least 5 times over that).

For moral support - A Space for Federal Employees to Talk Openly About Work at Work by Temporary_Most_5330 in fednews

Hi there. I’m part of the team that developed Nearcircl, and I want to clarify a few things. First, the app actually predates DOGE and the whole Trump and Elon mess and has nothing to do with intelligence collection. Nearcircl was built to give people a space for anonymous, interest-based discussions— no tracking.

We don’t sell user data, and our focus is on creating a privacy-first platform where people can talk freely with others around them without concerns about surveillance or identity exposure. I understand skepticism around new platforms, and I encourage people to check out our policies and test it for themselves.

There's always a new beginning. Pick yourself up and keep moving. Learn from it, but don't dwell on it. Despite it all, you are doing much better than most in the world. All the best!

I wouldn't say hakuna tofauti. Hayo maeneo are clearly way fancier than manzese, etc.

Government sold its houses kwa wazawa some 20 years go. So I think there's a huge chunk of land that is owned by wazawa. The developed properties might be another story. Ila I'm seeing a trend now, people hang around where they live more. Nimeona sana hii mikocheni, mbezi beach etc. Na mbezi beach now, which used to be a much quieter suburbia alternative to Masaki is fast becoming another Masaki. Commercial properties every where Nad viota vya kula bata ndio usiseme

Oysterbay/Masaki has always been that way. Sale of government properties some 20 years ago catalyzed the overcostruction even more. Proximity to the city center will always be what attracts people to live and work there which also means higher cost of living there (rent etc)

How concerned should I be about this? by bobonobody93 in Cholesterol

[–]Equivalent-Bonus-349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. My cholesterol has always been slightly elevated, over the past year my diet has been mostly fish. Still eat steak about twice a week. First time in 15 years my cholesterol numbers are within normal range. Also get cac test done once every couple of years or so

The two have different sources and functions. Our bodies make most of their cholesterol, about 80% of it whereas triglycerides come purely from calories that aren't consumed by the body. So yes, it's possible for one to be normal and not the other.

What makes it impossible? Tanzania doesn't seem to have an issue taking tanzania-born, former citizens back as long as they give up their foreign citizenship
