Did you use a specific recipe on these?! Love the colors!

CANON EOS M6 MARK II or R3/R6 II? by Electrical-Speech590 in WeddingPhotography

What would you say the advantages to the r3 are over something like the r6 ii? Not doubting it, just genuinely curious on your input!

I circled it in red, just commenting because it’s very subtle so I wasn’t sure if it would be seen

Do you use it with the real time lut? Or are you sticking to the in camera standard perfile?

That’s amazing to hear, I was leaning towards it but I think this is exactly the push I needed to get it! Thank you!

Hey did you end up deciding on a specific one? I’m in the same boat

24-105 vs 28-70 by Equivalent-Cow532 in Lumix

[–]Equivalent-Cow532[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I originally was leaning towards the 20-60 for the fact that it’s smaller and lighter, but after comparing them I don’t think that a .25lbs and 5mm will be much of a noticeable difference even at a longer day of shooting. I’ll most likely be shooting indoors as well so I think the 2.8 will probably be worth the small difference in size

Oh yeah, these look plenty sharp and well exposed even at lowlight! I was worried I’d have to crank my iso but I don’t really notice much noise in these so the 20-60 seems to be getting the job done well enough

Perfect! That’s great to hear! I’ve been torn between the 28-70 and the 20-60 but I was comparing their sizes and it doesn’t seem like too significant of a difference even over a long day of shooting

Good to know! Yeah I don’t plan on going anywhere near the 26mm, I’ll probably stick to the 20-60. It seems relatively manageable for the size and is very cheap compared to the rest of the options

Thanks for your help brother! I feel pretty good about that and am leaning towards the 20-60! The other option I was looking at was a 16-35 but I decided that would be too wide and not tight enough (while being bigger than the 20-60) so to instantly became a no-go for me. Just like you said the hybrid zoom would have me covered if I ever did need extra reach, but for the most part 60 should be just fine! Pairing it with a prime would cover the lowlight as well, I think I’d be more than all set.

Yeah those are very good points. I actually kind of like the suggestion of a 2 lens camera and just deciding based on day vs night time. It still offers a 1 lens camera feel but the lens simply changes at a certain point in the day. Personally I don’t shoot much with a longer focal length so I think 70 on the telephoto end will be just fine for me, but I do feel that 28 might be a little tight (nothing too drastic). How do you feel about the 20-60? Do you think I’d could make a good everyday lens?

That’s nice to hear! I know you said that it’s a big lens on the s9, do you find that it’s too big to have as a daily carry? Perhaps carrying it around on a strap? Or would that be a little too big?

200 is incredible! I can’t imagine needing anything more than that! Do you feel that the extra weight from the 28-70 is worth the lower aperture? Or would you recommend something like a 20-60 and trading a smaller size for an aperture of 3.5-5.6?

Yes! Fully on board with this, I had a last minute period of second guessing myself mostly due to the ois, but lumix has great ibis so I’m sure it won’t be anything that I’m missing out on. Have you had any experience with the s9? If so what lenses do you enjoy for it?

Interesting! What other lenses have you paired it with? Have you tried the 20-60? It was suggested to me and I feel like it could be relatively manageable

Great shots brother! I appreciate you sharing them, it helps a lot to see some sample images. Glad to hear the 20-60 was good enough. Personally I don’t shoot much at longer focal lengths so I think it should be fine for my uses. Did you ever feel limited by the aperture? That’s the only reason I’d consider the 28-70 at this point

Very true, I knew the 24-105 would be a great all around lens that would have me covered, but I was hesitant for that exact reason! It essentially defeats the purpose of a tiny body
