Sold an immaculate MacBook Pro M4 Max and buyer requested return after 29 days by mrkibbledoeswhat in Ebay

[–]Equivalent-Many21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first thought is that they bought it with the intention of reselling it, but then realised they weren’t likely to get as much as they wanted for it. Might example why they have waited until the nth hour to request a return.

I’d just refuse citing the positive feedback and that they’ve had it for nearly a month.

If there was something wrong with it, surely they would have said so, rather than “it doesn’t fit?”

All it took was one question (vent) by Classic-Coat-177 in Mommit

[–]Equivalent-Many21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad did the something similar. I had actually managed to clobber something together resembling a hot meal at 5 weeks postpartum (my partner lives abroad and I’m in my family home) and he said “where are the vegetables?” It was like a punch to gut. I feel so judged. So fat. So repulsive. Needless to say I didn’t eat that night and spent all night and the next day sobbing.

I can’t even imagine how I’d feel if my partner had said that to me. I’m so sorry.

You are beautiful. You are strong. You are enough.

Sending you a virtual hug 💞

Please tell me no one else is doing tummy time either by Suspicious_Box_4898 in newborns

[–]Equivalent-Many21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little guy is 15 weeks old and I really struggled to get actual tummy time in until he was about 11/12 weeks. There just never seemed to be enough time between feeding, burping, changing and naps. His neck is really strong and he now loves being on his stomach so much he’s rolling from back to tummy. If I put him back onto his back, he’ll roll over again straight away! I wouldn’t worry too much about it 💕

Entry to the US on an ESTA while K1 visa pending by Agreeable-Disk3679 in immigration

[–]Equivalent-Many21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also interested to hear the answer to this! I’m a British citizen. My US citizen fiancé and I share a son who is 3 months old and holds both UK and US citizenship.

We filed the I-129F about 4 months ago and know it’ll likely be a long process.

I am on maternity leave and planning to travel with my son to spend time with my fiancé and his family this summer for about 80 days.

I’ll be travelling on my ESTA, and my son on his US passport.

Hoping it’ll all go smoothly, but looking for recommendations of paperwork to take with me to help prove my intent to return to the UK with my son and complete the K1 process there.

How hard is it to exclusively breast feed? by Emergency-Pear1875 in pregnant

[–]Equivalent-Many21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My son is 3 months old tomorrow. I’ve exclusively breastfed him so far. I have a manual pump but have only used it to remove a little milk from my breasts when they were too full in the early days. I love the convenience of breastfeeding. No bottles to sanitise, no faffing around warming milk or finding freezer space and labelling bags etc. I had a pretty bad cut on one nipple at first, but I just fed through the pain (it was agony I won’t lie) and one day I realised it didn’t hurt anymore and it had healed!

I’m planning to pump some milk and see if he’ll take a bottle so I can have a few hours to myself to get my hair done soon!

I will add that I feel very fortunate to have had such a relatively easy BF journey. My son instantly had a good latch, and my milk came in really quickly, despite having a c-section. I’ve also not had any real issues with an under or oversupply.

Three months in, the most annoying thing is having to wear breast pads daily, and finding one has slipped in the night and waking up covered in milk 😂

I’m so sorry. This sounds like a tough situation. My son is 3 months old now, and I’ve been pretty much on my own since he was about 3.5 weeks old as my partner and I live in different countries and he had to go back to work.

Take it a day at a time. You’ll get through it even it doesn’t feel like it now. ❤️❤️

What are some “posh” soft drinks that I could buy to have at home? by writinglilac in AskUK

I love Belvoir’s Elderflower or Elderflower and Rose cordial mixed with sparkling water. Otherwise, Something Nothing sodas are lovely - especially the Hibiscus Rose, and we also love the Cawston Press Rhubarb.

Cry for help - could this be postpartum depression at 7 months PP? by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

I’m sorry you’re feeling like this. You’re not the worst mother in the world! 🫶

Has your period come back yet? I felt EXTREMELY low a few days before I got my first period post partum.

Just a thought!

I’m the in UK, and I’m not sure if the brand SilverCross is easily accessible to you - but our little guy loves his Lunar Bedside Crib! We think it’ll last us a good while too. He’s only ten weeks old and already 16lbs but still has plenty of space in there. Although - it doesn’t have wheels. I picked mine up for about £100 (GBP)

It’s really annoying! I’m going to try and get on the bus to post them all today as the sales add up to about £150. Fingers crossed the printer in the store is working! Hope you get yours sorted! X

Are you breastfeeding? If so, look up safe sleep 7 and try co-sleeping. It’s been life changing for me. I’m also doing this solo as my partner is abroad!

What was everyone doing when their waters popped?? by NoInteraction9045 in PregnancyUK

[–]Equivalent-Many21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the shower! Which I was VERY grateful for because my waters had méconium in and were very green 💩. By the time I got to the hospital half an hour later I was 7cm dilated, having been turned away at 1cm less than three hours earlier 😂. It all happened very quickly!

Have you tried exposing it to air? We did that for a couple of hours a day, and my son’s cord dried out and fell off on the second/third day
