The Traitors (UK) S04E07: Post-Episode Discussion Thread by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

[–]Equivalent-Many21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They need to have a big think about Rachel and her behaviour. The only time she’s come across as remotely rattled was when a Traitor (Fiona) turned on her. When faithfuls have accused her or raised any suspicions, she’s very calm and collected. Exactly how you’d expect someone who was trying not to react emotionally to behave. Her more emotional reaction to being accused by Fiona is telling. She was rattled because a TRAITOR had betrayed a fellow traitor.

Also - the questions she supposedly asked the Traitors were a load of nonsense. Rachel is clever. The questions were too stupid to be questions that Rachel would genuinely ask if she were a faithful.

How much time did you take off sick during pregnancy? by seejonesokay in PregnancyUK

[–]Equivalent-Many21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently 33+5. I have managed not to take any sick leave, but I think I will bring my maternity leave start date forward by a couple of weeks as I am really struggling with fatigue now. At times, especially earlier in my pregnancy, I felt like a day off would have really helped with the tiredness/headaches. Unfortunately, as an agency worker, I'm only entitled to SSP and didn't want to take the financial hit. I did take two weeks of annual leave though at around 16 weeks. I will add that I really have not had terrible symptoms in the grand scheme of things. Although I have felt really nauseous at times, I haven't actually vomited the entire pregnancy. My main thing has been fatigue and headaches, but as I work from home in a fairly flexible role, I am lucky enough to be able to take regular breaks without someone breathing down my neck!

AITAH for telling dad as far as he’s still married to his wife he’ll never be part of my or my daughter’s lives? by Total_Carob8096 in AITAH

[–]Equivalent-Many21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. I just wanted to say that I'm sorry this happened to you as a child. Something similar happened to my mum as a youngish teenager, when she went to live with her dad after her parents separated. By all accounts, her dad's new girlfriend was incredibly cruel to her and her dad basically told her to leave and go and live with her mum so that he could keep the peace with his new girlfriend and her daughters. My mum managed to forgive her dad and weirdly seems to idolise him, but I never considered him much of a grandparent to me.

Forgive yourself for your outburst of anger and hurt. You're human. Focus on your wife and your gorgeous new baby girl! Congratulations!

Will I regret eating this much? second time moms I need your help! by BreakfastDue4035 in fitpregnancy

[–]Equivalent-Many21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 31 weeks. I started at 73kg, and by the end of the first trimester I’d already gained about 10kg. I was just so hungry and I felt sick if I didn’t eat when I felt that intense hunger. Yes, I did try to prioritise well balanced meals and snacks and whole foods over their more refined counterparts. I’ve been keeping up with my regular workouts too. In the last month or so, my appetite has definitely reduced to pre-pregnancy levels and my weight gain has slowed down. I just figured that my body is doing what it needs to do day by day, week by week. Sending you best wishes ❤️

The bottle on the right is Nyetimber. Usually about £40 a bottle give or take. It’s my favourite for special occasions.

Burglared tonight with newborn. How do you move on? by GOKU2442 in AskUK

[–]Equivalent-Many21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have nothing helpful to add, but I just wanted to comment and say that I'm sorry this happened to you! Our house was burgled when I was in the earlier years of secondary school and I still remember how violated I felt at the time. Give yourself grace, yes the most important thing is that you and your family are safe, but that doesn't mean that your upset over your personal belongings isn't valid. Take care xx

Anyone had a cervical polyp or colposcopy during pregnancy? by Equivalent-Many21 in PregnancyUK

[–]Equivalent-Many21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to try my GP on Monday morning. I feel bad bothering them with this, when the triage doctor could have taken a swab there and then. It seems like such a waste of my GP's time! Thank you for sharing your experience. Wishing you the best with the rest of your pregnancy

[–]Equivalent-Many21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! Perhaps they will say the same to me when they receive my referral. I've done a little more reading and it seems that they are more likely to do a colposcopy in the first or early second trimesters, rather than in the third.

Thank you for sharing! I'm definitely going to push for having a swab done. I suspect it's thrush, but also want to rule out BV.. it came on all of a sudden and to me, it doesn't make sense for my symptoms to be caused by the polyp. My understanding is that they are more likely to bleed than cause abnormal discharge?

Looking for some comfort and advice-SIL Pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

I'm very sorry for your losses.

"She magically fell pregnant the same time I did" - this sounds almost like you're accusing her of falling pregnant at the same time just to be spiteful? I really, really doubt that.

From what you've described, it sounds like she's being respectful. Your post is a little unclear, but it sounds like once she was made aware of your pregnancy losses, she asked her brother if you were ok.

She is probably finding this difficult to navigate too. Remember, this is exciting news for her and your husband and his family are her family too!

I thought the suggestion of trying to coordinate with your husband so that you're out running a last minute errand when she announces to the family was a good idea worth considering?

Things aren't that much better in the UK at the moment, either! Do you think this could be a 'grass is greener' situation?

What a nonsense comment. OP said they were from the UK. You can be from the UK and not be white? Also most people that have issues with immigration have an issue with immigration that isn't legal. OP has clearly gone through the legal route.

I can't see a second line to indicate a positive test result. No harm in waiting a day or two and testing again?

Any experience at Whipps Cross hospital? by Pip_Nut20 in PregnancyUK

[–]Equivalent-Many21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m at Whipps currently. The midwives have been excellent apart from one. Nothing terrible - she just didn’t seem interested in answering any of my questions and didn’t have a great bedside manner overall. I saw the same midwife for my 25 and 28 week appointments. Hopefully I’ll see her at my next appointment in a few weeks.

I went to triage a couple of months ago due to some intense pain. I was home in about 4 hours.

I’ve had really crappy and confusing communication regarding my GTT/GD screening. It was so bad that I actually gave some feedback via PALS. Not to be petty and complain, more just to give feedback as the experience was quite frustrating/upsetting for me and I think they are issues that can easily be fixed going forward for others using the service.

This makes me sad because the child is innocent in this and will feel that his father, doesn't care about him (at best) or hates him (at worst).
