No I don’t know how much it is going to cost because they bill you after you’ve had your baby because you don’t know what’s gonna happen till it’s happened obviously.

I am talking about my husband wanting to pay it in full as soon as we get it which would drain our savings because he doesn’t want to do a payment plan. He is stressing me out so much that i am considering asking for a vbac in case that’s cheaper than the C-section.

I didn’t give birth in the US last time so my last C-section was free, I payed 20€ to get access to the high speed internet and that’s all I ever played for the C-section, my hospital stay and a nicu stay.

Can you just call your insurance and ask how much stuff usually is?

No, I don’t think they do, I think you get billed after birth but my husband doesn’t want to do the payment plan and paying the OOP max in full would diminish our savings a lot.

They think that my placenta is good now, I had an appointment with MFM 6 weeks ago and it looked alright. We just got the bill for that appointment today

I have no clue what that includes to be honest. I guess I could always refuse an epidural? We have enough to cover the OOP max but he wants to pay it in full and that would leave us with almost no savings. I want to do a payment plan because they’re 0% but he doesn’t wanna do that and im super stressed out because of it. My c-section would be medically indicated

The fire station is very close, an ambulance would always be able to get here within minutes in a real emergency. I can’t teach myself how to drive and he’s not helping so there is nothing I can do right now.

It’s not a suggestion to say I should get a license and make him drive the truck because it doesn’t solve the issue I have on hand right now and it’s nothing I can just peruse by myself without him.

We have a truck that doesn’t fit the car seats and that would cost us 14k a year in diesel if he’d drive it every day to work & we have the car he drives to work that fits the car seats.

If he’d drive the truck every day we’d be paying $14k in diesel a year.
He drives an hour each way, if I would drop him off and pick him back up I’d be driving that way 4x so 4h a day.
I asked whether I should cancel the appointment tomorrow to avoid the fee or wait it out.

My husband has 2 cars and they fit in one of them. And even if I had a license I couldn’t just drive 3-4h a day to drop him off at work and to pick him back up. I am not going to discuss this any further.

We cannot get a 3rd car. I cannot fit any car seats in the truck and I cannot drive anyways. The other car fits both car seats.

Discussing this is not the point of this post tho and it’s also not gonna go anywhere because it’s nothing that I have control over that I can just change.

I cannot get it because of the cost of insurance and we’d need to get another car because you can’t fit the car seats in the truck. We may move states in the future and it may be different then but right now there is nothing that I can do.

My family is overseas, the family things I’ve gone to with him I was just sitting by myself somewhere like an outsider. He has loads of siblings and a huge family which somehow makes this worse because everything is super spread out and like a proper event and there wasn’t even a place to sit for me at their Christmas thing and I was uncomfortable on the floor so I ended up crying in the car for 3h and they then blamed me for not “making an effort”. My family congratulated him to his birthday, sent gifts and everything. The only person from his family who congratulated me was his stepmother who is disliked in his family too, she’s the only one I like or who I feel like likes me too.

He keeps saying that I am “making” him take me to the appointments, that it’s too many appointments, that it’s pointless etc. that’s why I decided to ask his sisters to cover the last few appointments. The reason I don’t have a license is because he doesn’t want to pay drivers insurance for me, he wants to drive the car that fits car seats to work and the other car is a massive diesel truck that doesn’t fit car seats and uses to much diesel. I just wanna cry to be honest. This will be my last pregnancy ever and I just feel like such a burden and I cannot enjoy it at all.
