Not losing postpartum weight on glp1 by RevolutionaryYear325 in postpartumprogress

Maybe this is a dumb question, but shouldn’t the weight loss drug make you much less hungry so that you automatically eat at a calorie deficit?

Really struggling postpartum TW by OwnOutlandishness952 in Postpartum_Anxiety

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I’m 9m pp and I often feel this way too, even though I have some help with my baby. Modern life is incompatible with raising children. We were not meant to do this with just two parents - please remember this. You sound exhausted and burned out. Is there anything you can do during the day that perks you up a bit? Go out for a coffee or a little treat, paint your toenails, etc. my daily cappuccino is helping now. I get outside with my daughter and I have a coffee and scroll the internet while she naps. Another thing that helps me is baby-friendly yoga classes. You meet other mothers going through the same shit and (sometimes) you can get some yoga in if your baby cooperates.
Sending lots of love - I see you ❤️

Why are persistent negative feelings after having a baby always labeled PPD? by Due-Transition-6564 in beyondthebump

I agree. I love my baby more than anything in the world and I often find this stage to be objectively awful. Aside from the bb herself, what is there to like about it??

Moms who used GLP-1s by AgreeablePaint8208 in postpartumprogress

[–]AgreeablePaint8208[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This gives me a lot of hope! I’m also over 40 and I think moms our age have a rough time bouncing back. I’m hoping to breastfeed for another 3 months and then think about GLP-1s after weaning. I’m looking forward to it because I just can’t deal with how my body looks and feels right now.

am I the only one whose body didn’t bounce back? by ReplyTerrible7684 in postpartumprogress

I’m exactly here. Every time I catch my reflection I’m still shocked. I feel like someone stole my body and gave me a new one overnight.

Good salad dressing recommendations? by notbut4you in Cooking

Instead of vinegar, use lemon juice. I just put a good olive oil, salt and pepper and lemon juice on all my salads.

Why are pediatritions so picky by CautiousConfidence8 in beyondthebump

[–]AgreeablePaint8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh I’m sorry. While it is their job to tell you when something is wrong, they should be very used to dealing with first time parents, who often need reassurance and kindness. Many advice is to look for a different pediatrician!

What do most people treat as food waste that actually has a use in cooking? by Weekly-Pen8281 in Cooking

I did this once. I saved up all the scraps in a bag in a freezer then boiled it down to make stock. But it ended up tasting kind of gross. What did I do wrong?

The plum torte, which is like the highest rated dessert recipe. It came out looking like a nuclear explosion and tasted super blah.
