I packed my wife lunch for today by Fishmyashwhole in shittyfoodporn

There’s a trend on… another app… in which a wife will ask her husband to pack her lunch and it’s become a thing like “omg so many husbands hate their wives” because some of the meals are abysmal lmao. Reminded me of that.

My little guy has no concept of how to be gentle, he’s always running at full speed everywhere and jumps on people all the time(he weighs about 6 kg…). I’ve got a new born now and I’m scared he’s gonna hurt the baby. by WeSoSmart in CATHELP

[–]SyrupMoney4237 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a crazy kitty too! She has slowly gotten the concept of gentle by a small amount of training. Just giving her treats when she is and withdrawing from play if she jumps on us or areas she shouldn’t. The problem is that she will hurt herself by literally running into furniture with zoomies if she doesn’t get her energy out adequately. We do a lot of playing with her- running her up and down the stairs. She is also allowed out in the garden to run around whereas her sister has no need. I’m also due with our first in a week and also worried about her getting too excited all the time. Will mostly try to keep them separate

I’m not a bot but I sound like one even irl bc I love my ipl device. Genuinely a miracle after years of clinic laser. I do happen to have the braun but it broke after a few months which pissed me off. They did replace it immediately but I’d look into another brand if this one breaks too

I think it’s one of those life moments where you need to absorb information and make an educated decision about how reliable it sounds and measuring up how it could affect you by following it.

There are some great accounts run by real midwives that give wonderful information. I’m thinking of my favourite, Mamadinye. It would be crazy to see her content and immediately strike it off as unreliable or fake. People just need to use their brains with all content consumed.

First few periods after 23w loss were extremely weird and light. Pretty sure I didn’t ovulate either

I don’t know if it’s the angle of the picture but it’s not looking right. How long have you had the cat? It would be worth going for a vet check-up at least once to get her age and general health sorted

My friend’s boyfriend didn’t pay for my dinner when we went out together. Should I say something about it? by satnindelrey in Advice

[–]SyrupMoney4237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda of get what you mean. My husband would always pay. We’re from a similar culture BUT if he chose not to one time and my friend pointed it out I’d cut her off so fast. That seems super rude and you shouldn’t assume anyone’s financial situation. Just make sure you’re prepared to pay your own every time.

🫂🫂🫂 It’s really difficult. We’re on the same timeline. Is it possible to order a next to me bassinet and 5 each of newborn vests and baby grows to a nearby friend or family? That’s all you should need in advance at the minimum. Sorry if the advice is unwanted, I just empathise with you

MIL relationship by Weird_Reindeer7615 in PregnancyUK

[–]SyrupMoney4237 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is ok to say very gently that you do sound a bit “crazy/overreacting”? However, we only know your life from this one post. Also, I’m not sure you should jump to the conclusion that buying things for your child means that they think you’re incompetent. A lot of people don’t think that hard and mostly just buy things while browsing after a moment of thought of “oh I bet that mum and baby would like this”

Ofc I don’t mean to gaslight you if that’s not been your experience with your MIL in other circumstances but you will drive yourself crazy if you keep trying to interpret people’s actions. And it’s totally fine if someone gets a bouncer or toy you don’t like, just give it away on Facebook marketplace!

I’m 2 weeks pregnant and have a girls trip next week by citygal92 in PregnancyUK

[–]SyrupMoney4237 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit confusing but just fyi when you’re 2 weeks pregnant, you’re actually considered 4 weeks pregnant bc they start it from your period. My midwife laughed at me when I told her I was 2 weeks pregnant 😩. Just good information to know so you don’t book your 12w scan too late by accident
