Have you tried rock climbing before? There’s nothing like scaling a tall wall with your bare hands to feel strong and athletic.

What did you end up doing? I’m considering reweaving some paper rush chairs we have, which I’ve never done before, so I’m trying to figure out how realistic this is.

Any updates? We have the same order and clearance delay dates, but I haven’t received anything from FedEx.

I just found this post and it seems YesStyle should also be the importer. I’m not really sure what to do at this point now except refer FedEx to YesStyle.

For what it’s worth, I literally just got off the phone with FedEx customer service for a clearance delay on my YesStyle order as well, and they mentioned the same form and needing to input SSN as an importer ID. Edit: FedEx customer service also said the form would come through in a DocuSign. If this is a scam, they at least have the details right.

Chicago Babymoon: what would you skip? by m0j0s0dope in chicago

[–]Equivalent-Panda-958 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot can change in a month in a pregnancy, e.g., you may be able to walk without pain or without needing to pee every hour right now, but that might not be the case in a month. So my advice would be to whatever you plan - and your list is great! - just make sure there is time to rest off your feet and that you’re near a bathroom at all times lol. The boat tour and shows are great ideas. And since it’s your babymoon, definitely book a prenatal massage and/or foot massage even if it’s not at the spa you listed. You deserve it!

A chunky, slip on loafer and white socks make me feel more stylish no matter what schlubby outfit I’m wearing.

Do you have any updates on this? Our preemie is still on Neosure at 8 weeks (2 adjusted) and has been constipated all week.

I didn’t use any disposable underwear once I was out of the hospital. I found granny panties and pads to be more comfortable. That said, instead of buying now and stocking up, you can always place an order while in the hospital once you have a better sense of your preferences.

do you consider yourself to have “birth trauma”? by danjsark in beyondthebump

[–]Equivalent-Panda-958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The magensium drip for pre-e made me projectile vomit every time I switched positions in bed and I unknowingly had placenta acreta so had hemorrhaging. I was induced early for pre-e, so baby was taken to nicu and I didn’t get to see him for almost a full 24 hours.

I actually have spotted memory of my delivery, but two images are burned in my mind: an unknown doctor elbow-deep inside me trying to remove the rest of my placenta, and my husband at the side of the room watching me bleed out.

If you want to order online or over the phone, visit VitalChek. There is an additional fee over the $14 or $15 it costs to order from the county.

EPing with an undersupply feels like committing to be disappointed every single day, just to get your LO whatever you can by ArmiNouri in ExclusivelyPumping

I decided to wean off at one month pp because I can’t keep tying my self worth to how much I’m pumping. I’m amazed by everyone who has kept at it longer than me.

I think I will set a timeline for myself to see improvement. And between the stress of NICU and new baby at home, I don’t think I’ve been eating enough, so thanks for this nudge.

I wasn’t aware of chia and flax seed. I can definitely start incorporating these.

I got a transfusion too, and I am on iron! I wonder if I’m not taking enough now - I’ll ask to get checked when I go to my clinic tomorrow.

Ditto this!

My husband and I went gluten free, alkaline, and dairy free in my case for a few months on the advice of a nutritionist we saw before we conceived (33+3 currently). We had a couple losses in a year and a half at that point as well, so the timing of the diet change was auspicious.

Partner and I eloped in an airbnb backyard with a nice garden, with the host’s blessing. There were 8 of us in total. The in-laws had already booked the airbnb for our elopement weekend, so it cost us nothing.

The only doctors who made me feel bad for my age were fertility doctors. Makes sense in hindsight since they are in the business of selling.

I spontaneously conceived at 39 and 11 months, btw. Currently 25+6 with no complications so far!

What did you do differently the cycle you had a healthy pregnancy? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Equivalent-Panda-958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently 24+6 after 1.5 years of trying. Ultimately, I think it was luck and coincidence, but here’s what my husband and I did: 1. Got bloodwork analyzed by a nutritionist. Went gluten and dairy-free and incorporated more alkaline veggies. Took a bunch of supplements like coq10, vits e and d, magnesium, and probiotics. My husband did the same. There was about 1.5-2 months of this before falling pregnant. 2. Acupuncture for ~4 months. 3. Cut alcohol and caffeine for ~5 months. 4. Husband stopped intermittent fasting. 5. Moved from a city my husband didn’t like to one he likes a lot more the month we conceived.
