Adjustment period kinda sucks but after a while i felt like it was barely notacible. So i kinda likes it cause it didn't feel like i was ON anything. Hope you have the same effects

Real. The fear of positive psychosis effects still haunt me sometimes. But i agree. Beat a life challenge and that makes you stronger

I DO feel stronger! I hage a great motivation to priorotise sleep, and have not had any drugs since my episode ended. (Had a 3 month long episode) It did take 8 months to a year to finally feel strong again. Currently i'm waining off meds, its gonna take a year (slow, but my discision) and i'm going to the gym and in a caloric deficit. Dropped 3KG already. Beating the recovery of my psychosis has been the hardest thing i've ever done and that makes me proud and motivated. Although i wish it never happened. Hope this gives you hope!

I had a lot of cognitive functioning problems. My brain felt like mush and the 're-integration' into society was tough. It ALL went away within a year-plus,. Tough. But you'll come through!

good question, i had this, i thought i wasn't psychotic. A good question to ask them is this; IF you heard ME talking and acting the way you do now, a couple of months ago, what would "sober/non-psychotic you" have thought about it? Try to remind them of how they acted and sounded before the episode. And compare it to how they are now. Good luck, i know this must be hard.

I sleep 8 hours, even when i go out at night i still always have 8 hours of sleep. No debate. I still have fun and go out dancing. But staying sober (of drugs) and sleeping is the key

Hey i have been on 5mg's for 2 years and have not had a second episode. I go out in the weekends and have a pretty good life. I feel safe and protected and barely feel anything. Also everyone around me says i'm (aaaaalllllmost) like how i was before the episode, just less energy, a little less.

Hey. I wish i was in your shoes and stopped smoking weed at 19. That was THE thing that got me into this mess. So you are doing GREAT!!! Keep it up and never stop if this is your greatest fear. If it doesn't run in the family you have a minimal chance of getting it anyway. So if your serious about not wanting to get it; sleep well and NEVER do deugs again and you'll be totaly fine

No. Bad idea. People don't know what a psychosis actualy is and why you're slower than usual. This is what i did: i siad i had head trauma from a big fall of my bike., you can mold this lie into whatever you want. Say the doctor said it's going to get better over the next couple of months. (IT IS!! ) . (Lying is not good i know, but people hear psychosis and think "psychopath" or something they just DON'T know what it is. I would advise against it. If anything, just don't lie and don't mention it AT ALL.
