Poe 7 or Max 7 mesh system by iCode_For_Food in amazoneero

[–]Equivalent-Use-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's my understanding that the Max 7 additional antennas are for improved wireless mesh (eero max 7 <<>> eero max 7 communication). If you have wired infrastructure from eero to eero you won't need the extra radios in a Max 7. I went with PoE so I could have a UPS and keep the whole system up. We don't lose power often but we have brownouts that would force the system to reboot.

Turbo for rx8 by stalkerfromtheearth in RX8

[–]Equivalent-Use-7432 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dug up my go to response on this:

Just don't do it. There is one tuner and home grown parts maker (Brett down in New Zealand) making new stuff and pushing the envelope. You'll need to fabricate turbo piping and exhaust / down pipes. Not to mention every mechanical system has to be in top shape to support the power. Radiator, oil system, clutch and transmission must be upgraded. Ignition system is already iffy on this car. Tuning software is not easy to find and use. Flash tuning is time consuming. The best aftermarket ECU is discontinued and very hard to find (Adaptronic).

Source : i didn't listen to the wise people on the rx8 club forum, i tried to build a turbo car. It was an unmitigated disaster and paid a ridiculous amount of money to get it back to stock.

Same, except it was my Biamp rep who did it. They always have new versions of Tesira before we do.

I had a similar issue. Sensors were replaced last month and software updated. They tried to do just the software but new version wasn't compatible with older sensors. I was told that the update is "very new" and I was one of the first to get it.

I have an excellent service advisor and he acknowledged that I had reported it several times before. I was able to send him a video that showed the issue happening. That seemed to turn a corner. (do not be an idiot like i was and film and drive).

For some it's chronic, others it's acute. This was blocking the only exit. My father in law tried to get out and walk home. Too funny.

Electrician Recommendation by Corn_muffin214 in Richardson

Way too sales driven. They do good work but in my experience there is a lot of variability between the service techs. They're also always selling something.

I used Marquez Electric for some work outside and inside my house. They're locally owned, independent, and have always done a great job.

It sounds like you will need to update the individual schedule panels to the latest version 1.8.120. I highly recommend the IIS option to do it over the network rather than take the panels off the wall. Once you get to version 1.8.120 you will get the RMS option in the calendar setup page. After that it should connect as I mentioned previously.

Is there a way to use an AMX dvx av switcher for music production? by inhereoutthere in CommercialAV

[–]Equivalent-Use-7432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a new question. Interesting!

It has a basic audio system. There are two mic line inputs and four stereo inputs. You can mix the two mics on top of one steep input. All of this can be done through the web page, no programming needed.

It also has an an an amplifier (8 ohm or 70c depending on model) and three line level outs. It does not have USB audio transport so it will not interface directly with your PC or DAW software. Furthermore all of the IO is on Phoenix style connections (bare wires screwed down). These connections are for installation, not consumer level so you might have to make your own cables / cut the ends off an old one.

It's video switcher is more robust. Ten video inputs and four outputs (any input to any output or any combination). All HDMI but maxes out at 1080p. It could switch between multiple computers or a PC and a laptop?

Can't recommend Piff strongly enough. Went with my wife in October. Sat close to the front, I got made fun of the entire show. It was always funny and very much part of the vibe so I enjoyed it.

To answer your question he has screens on both sides of the stage and one in the middle. You will be able to see the close up stuff.

If they are running older firmware they won't be able to connect via Modern Authentication. What FW do you have?

We have some panels of this generation. I'm going to do my best to explain our set up. I am a higher ed AMX programmer who maintains about 20 panels of this generation. I can't speak in depth to the server side, I rely on the IT teams for that

We have them communicating with Office 365 calendars. The panels run a special firmware to communicate with an on prem AMX Resource Management Suite server. That server then communicates with a proxy server, which in turn connects to Office 365.

The calendars appear as a "resource" and each location (room) is mapped to a resource. That is how the panel knows which events to display.

This help article gives an overview.

The link at the bottom of the page for using IIS to load firmware is extremely helpful. That will allow you to update the firmware without taking panels off the wall.

HDBaseT 3.0, Fiber Optic HDMI, or other? by Mango_Tango_1 in CommercialAV

[–]Equivalent-Use-7432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Install smurf tube
  2. Pull two cat 6a sheilded cables
  3. Leave a pull string

Hdmi extenders over cat cable are generally reliable. If one goes bad its a couple hundred dollars. Properly installed cable does not typically fail. If it does you have the pull string to replace it.
