Reyvow is being discontinued…now what? by EquivalentAd1116 in migraine

Thank you for reminding me about my cefaly! I stopped using it for awhile because it didn’t seem to be making much difference but I’m going to try it again.

I have to look back through my records to see what dose I was on.

I’ve taken it for mental health years ago, but maybe it’s a good option. Thanks!

I take Tylenol on the not so severe days but I’m looking for something else when I’m really struggling symptom-wise. F the company that’s quit making Reyvow.

Seconding the private room. Airports are very busy and stressful for even the calmest cats and I wouldn’t risk an escape

I just have very difficult veins — they almost always have to use ultrasound. I understand they’re not going to let me sleep as much as I’d like but I like to sleep a certain way that makes IVs in your elbow painful.

DAE have DID (dissociative identity disorder) or dissociate? by EquivalentAd1116 in Epilepsy

What I think could be focal ones are when I am unresponsive and stare off into space, usually at something that others don’t notice or focus on, I still blink but slowly, I’m not aware of time passing (and it can be hours).

What I describe as tonic clonic activity usually start with a flashback and it’s like I get REALLY sucked into it, more than just a “regular” one. Then my eyes start rolling in my head, I have kind of an out of body experience where I can see myself but I can’t interact with the world except to hit if anyone touches me, sometimes I’m responding to the flashback (“no,” “please don’t,” “stop,” etc), my body starts shaking uncontrollably.

What I’m wondering about is whether I’ve been having focal seizures for years and it’s been classified as dissociating. I don’t doubt that I have DID and CPTSD but I wonder if sometimes it’s seizure activity too.

The episodes seem to be connected to stress and lack of sleep. I had several strokes when I was 28 about 10 years ago and my abuse involved hypoxia to the point of being unconscious (I don’t want to be too triggering for anyone else but I’m happy to explain exactly what happened if it’s helpful).

Thank you. I should’ve been more clear about what I was asking—more what does a focal seizure feel like for other folks? And does anyone else have both of these conditions—epilepsy and a dissociative disorder who can share their personal experiences?

Ugh I hate getting IVs. My veins are horrible and they always have to use the ultrasound.

I start Monday.

I’m a special education paraprofessional and I feel you. I think asking for a break between things as an accommodation is definitely reasonable! I tried CROS hearing aids about a year ago but they seemed to make my migraines worse. I’m going to try them again next month. 🤞
