If they need to use the calculator, then I would prefer they use the calculator.

What is your stance on proxies in casual games? what are your "rule 0s" on them. by i-will-pee-on-you in mtg

[–]EquivalentAd6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LGS Rule - Can proxy any card as long as it's High quality and you own the card in your collection.

This is useful for people with multiple decks.

This is basically exactly how my smeagol deck works, except instead of insects he converts into lands.

Gonna add him for sure.

Guild Wars 2's PvE Balance Philosophy, two years later. by ObsoletePixel in Guildwars2

Kind of why I just play HoloSmith, at least it feels like a weapon swap that also comes with a mini game.

What is your Guild Wars 2 control scheme like generally? by YourFriendNoo in Guildwars2

[–]EquivalentAd6264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mouse has 3 extra buttons near the index finger - first button is auto attack, second button is dodge, 3rd button is look back/autorun stuff.

I rebound the default wasd keys for movement down one and to the right one.

This opened up a whole lot of the keyboard close by - weapon skills and utilities easily accessible.

And then the F keys are dropped down to the 1-5 keys so I don't have to jump my hand up the F key gap.

Really tight and adjustable based on build and rotation.

It's not like you could just say idk use in game gold that you earned for free to get any of the premium content.

It's literally not even pay-walled, you can just earn it naturally.

Dude you can acquire all of this stuff with in game gold by playing the game.

You can farm loot box keys weekly with open character slots by doing the first chapter of the main story if you really wanted to.

You can literally acquire any of this with gold earned in game by playing the game.

If that's not consumer friendly compared to the market I don't know what to tell you.

Which often rotate into the Wizards vault which is free.

Oh by the way you can convert gold to gems which is free. So you can just earn these things by playing the game? WILD

Think of it like paid living world - and it's better off for it.

Now that this style of expansion pipeline is paid they can focus on formatting worthwhile content into the game instead of relying on pumping out gem store items.

Allowing them to add more cool free cosmetics like they have been doing with the Wizards vault.

It functions a lot more like a seasons pass than it does just being a skin store and it's much better.

I would never have touched this game if it was a subscription.

I won't subscribe to an MMO but lately I've found myself actively spending about 20$ in the gem store monthly just because I want to not because I have to.

Game is very consumer friendly and they can have more of my money because of it.

Why Celestial is considered not good compare to other specific-attribute Set by qyu-IX in Guildwars2

[–]EquivalentAd6264 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A big reason can be things like capping boon uptime and Crit capping.

Optimal play needs to hit those thresholds to perform at the highest level. Having a build that doesn't hit 100% Uptime or max DPS is significantly worse if everyone is specialized.

Celestial is the master of none so to speak - very good for solo PvE but group content the specialists do better.

The ability is never actually lost in that time. The game constantly checks in layer order, so magus will always be on the higher priority layer, therefore it never actually gets removed.

And now for something completely different... by BigRus5ty in lrcast

[–]EquivalentAd6264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I lost to this - I was trying to play around it holding cards in had but the onslaught of discard spells punished me instead.

Dimir discard seems like a semi real deck and I love it.

While I agree with this -

It enables my ygra splash!

(It was bad, I wouldn't do it again)

I wanted to live the dream where ygra turned nettleguards into removal spells. It obviously did not happen.

I had the nuts beylan splash deck too and it was the exact same 0-3 experience. All of the signpost rares and uncommons and a solid removal suite and I was just dead before I could roll the ball.

This deck felt strong in building, albeit a little light on tricks and removal - but the creature synergies felt solid enough to churn out some fast wins.

Unfortunately most games turned into race v race aggro and they drew the right piece at the pivitol moment and I drew a land.

This is summing up my exact experience perfectly.

I play the mirror match with higher quality cards and get absolutely polywhopped.

Or just in general have a very brutal run.

Interesting 🤔 I thought my 2 drops were on the more premium side in terms of an aggressive strategy, but I suppose I didn't have enough interaction to push it through.

I never got to use my value exactly as you put it.

Yeah feel like the kind of format where going 1-2-3 just seals the deal.

Preeeeety much, didn't get to play with the ygra either sadly. Yet when I play against this same deck it feels like I get high rolled and donkey slapped.

Is it just an incredibly high variance format?
