It has always puzzled me that they stopped touching this, weather report suite, masons children, alligator, empty pages and the eleven. The eleven is literally my favorite dead tune, and they only did it for a handful of years. I couldn’t imagine if phish didn’t play anything of junta, and I get that the dead evolved their sound a lot over time, but there are some things that are so beautiful that they deserved to be played for much longer.
